Stillness (Secret Ending): SILENT HILL 2 Remake

In order to get this ending you'll need a few things: Firstly you'll have had to completed the game with the "In water" ending already. Secondly, when starting a new game plus, you'll need the key of sorrow. Which you'll find in a green car at the start of the game. Third and lastly, when in the Otherworld Hotel, after meeting Angela, one of the rooms on the first floor will have a safe that you'll use the key on. The code will be 314 and you'll receive a post card, locking you into this ending.

I like to think that James didn’t even enter the town in this version. Mary forgives him beforehand and saves him from the hell that is Silent Hill.

Sooooo he still killed himself, but this time Mary forgave him?

@@Mad_Merc Something like that. All up to interpretation really. I'd say with Mary's "forgiveness" he was able to die under the impression that she'd be waiting for him on the other side, rather than doing it out of sheer hopelessness and regret like during In Water's ending. He did it in anticipation of being with Mary again, no longer confined by the heavy burden of his actions.
