My son made his communion and after it took him into paradise for the tour,his favourite player was stan,he was leaving in his car when we got there,a shouted on him,he stopped his car in the middle of the car park,got out and stood for about half hour getting pics and talking to us whilst blocking other people in the car park 😂a absolute amazing humble man,love him to bits,a celt forever,YNWA STAN BHOY💚💚was at that game and every person in that ground was in tears,even after the game when a was telling everyone about it I bubbled like a big wean, THERES ONLY ONE STAN PETROV 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

Stan used to come round my drive thru window in a battered old van when he first arrived in Glasgow. He couldn't speak English, nor his dad nor Paulina, but he knew we loved him and gave him loads of free food 🤣 Bare in mind he was only on £5000 a week, which is not a lot when you think about it now for footballers.

Petrov had Leukaemia and Celtic hosted this game versus a Liverpool select with all proceeds going to The Beatson cancer hospital in Glasgow and to a sick kids hospital in Glasgow and James Milner cancer charity. I was there, my first child Daniel was born the day before, btw Henrik scored a hat trick 😂💚🍀

I'm Welling up here watching that .. petrov came us when very young bhoy he was like only 17 or something I'm not sure but was very young and hit ground running was amazing from off.. he cane with another guy petgov or something guy name was I'm not sure if we signed him aswell but both came together to scotland maybe other guy was like chaparone help him settle in give him teammate talk to cause as I say was very young couldn't speak word English at first then ended up with Scottish twang to his voice by end of it .. he was real old fashioned midfielder crunching tackles n throw himself about in there like warrior .. even as young young bhoy wasn't fazed he stood up was counted against rangers who at time were going strong and had good players at time but he got stuck in and FANS LOVED HIM FOR IT ... I always wished he would came back back and finished career at us but then cancer struck him down I was so happy he fought it and battled back from brink of death like player he was he fought it like he played 100% warrior .. still lived by fans who rember him like myself ... thanks for this video .. Petrov did make a full recovery, hes in much better condition now, a few years after that game there was another game Petrov vs Milner select after them having been team mates at villa. But i am very excited that i will get to see Stylian Petrov play at Celtic vs Borussia Dortmund Legends next sunday at Celtic Park. Would be class if you managed to get a ticket and witness how incredible even the charity match atmosphere is at paradise
