Sting is a true pioneer of music. I dont think many artists have been as creative & diverse musically. He has so many unique global sounds in his music. Then his lyrics are always beautiful & intelligent.

Listen! I remember when this song came out and it was the SHYT!!! We had NEVER heard nothing like this before ! I STILL remember the Arabian dude name: Cheb Mami ! When I heard this dude I was like WHAT the F is THIS!? I meant it in a GOOD way! This song was off the chain and I remember thinking wow this dude CHEB MAMI is gonna BLOW UP in America because most Americans had never heard no shyt like this before but RIGHT after this song came out American went to war I think with Sudam and that messed it up from him. To this day i STILL ain't heard no shyt like this. Love this song! 😀👍🏾

Funny you should ask: The album wasn't selling and Sting relented at the suggestion to use it in a car commercial(which the ad itself was a clever one). It sold the car and then album sales went up. I'm actually going to see if I could KZbin it since you brought it up. This might possibly be the best reaction channel.

Can't ever go wrong with Sting. You can hear so much in his voice. My favorite is Fortress, I think his best song.😊 you probably didn't like it as much because he didn't sing it all solo.

I like this one from Sting, a bit different from some of his other songs, but has his distinctive sound, but probably not my favourite of his He has done some great tracks I think including 'Fragile', 'It's probably me', 'Fields of Gold', 'This cowboy song' and of course' Brand New Day' with great harmonica by Stevie Wonder-Colin Ward

He is obviously a very talented artist, and experimented with different styles of music! This one has a Middle Eastern vibe to it that makes the tune very meaningful and exotic! My favorite by Sting the solo performer is Fragile, but that song is too painful 😖😣 to listen to on a regular basis! Later subs!

One other thing! It's 🤣 funny, I mean strange and peculiar funny that songs like this make you feel like you're in a desert 🏜️ 🏝️ setting with unbearable heat, and if you're lucky, you find an Oasis! On the other 👏 hand, when you hear bagpipes from one of the Celtic countries, you think of gloom, darkness, despair, solitude and other eerie and frightening emotions, like being chained in the dungeon with no hope for finding your way out!! I'm all over the place people, and if you could trade places with me for even a few minutes, you wouldn't believe your reality! Adios!
