does anyone know the list of excellent musicians , and where and when it was recorded?
Omar Hakim, late of Weather Report, on drums. Branford Marsalis, Arsenio's bandleader, on saxophone. Darryl Jones, who later would replace Bill Wyman in the Rolling Stones, on bass. The late Kenny Kirkland on keyboards. Janice Pendarvis (Roberta Flack) and Dolette McDonald (Talking Heads) are resting their voices on this song.

This song was released on his first solo album, "The Dream of the Blue Turtles", and wonderful jazz musicians were involved (see list below). In the film and on the album "Bring On The Night" (a sort of "the making of" the above-mentioned first album and also a concert film) they called this non-official band "Les Tortues Bleus" (french for blue turtles). Kenny Kirkland - keyboards Darryl Jones - bass guitar Omar Hakim - drums Branford Marsalis - soprano saxophone, tenor saxophone, percussion Dominic Muldowney - additional arrangements Dolette McDonald and Janice Pendarvis - backing vocals and of course Sting - vocals, guitars, double bass, arrangements
