Yeah! No World-Famous Wrestler should be forced to lose their last match. Never! Ric Flair didn't lose his last match. The Undertaker didn't lose his last match, and I would think, that while some did lose their last match, that- 1:No Wrestler should ever be forced to lose their last match. 2:It is the ULTIMATE in embarrassment, and disrespect, by any Wrestling Company, to force a certain Wrestler to lose their last match... unless the retiring Wrestler CHOOSES to lose their last match, in order to give a deserving Wrestler a "Rub" (Or, in other words, a "Push")!

No one wanted sting to lose. Yes, you could’ve made a storyline with the young bucks and I bet it would’ve been great. But genuinely so many ppl wanted Sting to win so bad that if they went the other way they most likely would’ve lost fans. This was a great decision and it brings in a deserved topic of certain wrestlers getting the “legend treatment” when they reach retirement.

Sting's a professional he's put over some many people in the business it's not funny. A lot of people he should have dominated flat out. But he sold and made they look good. He should have squashed a lot of people in the 90s, and because he didn't, those matches were not good. But he will always be entertaining and inspiring. Thank you, Steve Borden. AKA Sting!!

I would prefer if every retirement match was a win, putting the next guys over shouldn't come at the cost of your last match. Look at Kurt Angle for example, his last match was against Baron Corbin, and his career has been straight dog farts since. What was even the point? Or they should at least have their last match against somebody they've mentored as sort of a "passing of the torch" moment.

Think about it this way. He did put a younger talent over. Darby was falling in the background of AEW. He got mentioned when they needed a filler spot. Sting by his side helped him move into the bigger picture. The bucks have had an amazing career as well & didn't need the rub. So Sting got to go out on top as the icon he is, Darby got the rub that he needed, and the bucks got to be the heels that they are playing well. Worked out good in my opinion

There is no controversy. Sting has done business for many others many times. Win or lose if the match isn’t a squash, the opponent “goes over” in some way at this point just by being in a match with Sting. Just as they would with Taker, Flair, HHH, Austin, Rock, etc. Also anyone old enough and smart enough knows the Wrestlemania match between Sting and HHH wasn’t between them, it was WCW/NWO vs WWE/DX; with Vinny Mac saying “I beat Billion Dollar Ted COMPLETELY!”
