Sting was legend before TNA he made his lagacy in WCW

Honestly sting was the only reason I watched wcw, When sting was off the air I would change I would go back to watching WWF. The only WCW superstars I actually recognized were ones that left WWF for WCW. Sting, Booker T and DDP were the only other WCW stars I knew of and Booker T and DDP moved to WWF when Shane bought WCW so Sting was the only one I knew that never was involved in Wwe until now. I think that's why people are always hyped for sting because of Stings career in WCW and even the other WWE fans recognized sting. Sting was probably one of the most popular superstars in WCW or even through out the 90s.

Just got this at my local FYE for $29.99. Didn't know Target or Toys R Us were selling a few dollars cheaper so I may exchange. Though, I'm a diehard Sting fan so price doesn't bother me. $30 was worth it. I've had Jakks figures. It's all preference and I think this Defining Moment figure is the best Sting figure out there right now. Plus, it's the best incarnation of Sting we ever had in his prime. I dig it, for $30 and all!

I see your point, the jakks face on the TNA sting was good. this is more simple, but over all its the best sting figure to date I would say. Oh the toy biz sting face was good too, I think there have been some really good sting head sculpts but the figure molds dont hold up as well as this one to that starcade sting.

I think this is pretty good considering that this is Mattel's first Sting figure. The looseness of some joints is a common issue with Mattel's figures. My Elite Undertaker (I don't know what series) has a loose torso joint and my Basic Randy Orton (Battlepack series 27) has a loose head. The face paint is a sue that could be solved as easily as putting some whiteout over the improper white skin tone.

Yes that sting it good as the robe could be used as a Luke Gallows robe but the packaging is definitely a real nice touch the baseball bay is the thing that bums me out the most they could've used the same plastic as they use for the mattel figures why couldn't they I'm sure if they had any spare plastic left they could've used for the bat yep the arms are WAY TOO jacked sting wasn't that jacked the face definitely needs a bit more detail as the top of mine has a bit of paint leaking through the legs could do with a bit more detail maybe like a scorpion on the boots only a small one though and I know sting doesn't really have that much of a exciting attire but oh well

I paid 19.99 at toys r us and got another Zting figure free. I think this is the best Sting figure. Jakks was good but mattel is alot better. Body mold and scale. Also more detail on ot figures. The articulation is great and not loose

I think the reason there is the strip of skin because if I'm correct this attire is from starcade 97 and if you look at his entrance you see a strip of skin

This Defining Moments Sting Figure is totally badass, I just wish it was a current version of Sting though and not a flashback. I'm glad we are getting a current version of Crow Sting in both Basic Series 55 and Elite Series 39 and can't wait to get them.

Ok going back on videos and pictures, circa 1998 that is how sting wore is face paint. That skin tone at the top is met to be there. Sting didn't paint his hair line because it would get into his hair. Idk if the jakks figures are like that but if they are it wouldn't be an authentic face paint.
