You must not eat rice from big rice bowl ,you should put rice into small rice dish in front ofyour table then eat it. As you are foreigner I understand this but please do not do this asJapanese never do.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately our server did not speak English well so we didn't have an explanation on how we were supposed to eat or even what we were eating.

お櫃から直接しゃもじでご飯をたべるの初めて見ました。ショックでした。日本酒を一気飲み誰も教えてあげないからなのかな？お櫃からシャモジで取り分けて2人分のご飯なのにお鍋も焼肉も知らない人にはオモテナシしないと台無しです。美味しいタイミングがありますよ、 外国に行ってスパゲッティ取分けるトングで食べてみたら何て言われるのかな？日本はみんな優しい
