Mike Nelson the surface of ray skin is exactly like he mentioned, almost like a hide covered in glass beads. The beads are rounded and smooth, but the overall texture is rough and thus it might act like an abrasive, especially if you’re dealing with any cut edges which can be especially sharp. I think I’d rather have bike seat covered in wet/dry 600 than a seat covered in ray skin.
