I owned a 2017 Jeep SRT before and this guy nailed this review. You are totally going to spend $ on this car no matter what. After a year, I had to spend 2k to replace all 4 tires since they were high performance. To replace the pads, breaks, calipers etc will cost you 4k. As for gas, it wasn't that bad, It cost me around $50 to fill it up, and I was only driving around 12 miles a day. Guys don't get me wrong you will have a blast with the SRT. There is nothing like this on the market. No need to even get a trackhawk. 475 hp is already a lot and you will smoke everybody with just your big toe on the pedal LOL....but this car is high maintenance so be prepared. I will strongly recommend people to buy it used because unfortunately, this car is overpriced. I was lucky to get mine for 63k brand new. Now, its at least 75k. So, get a used one with less than 10k miles and make the dealership replace the tires and the breaks etc before you finance it.

Are there key differences and pros and cons besides interior space, between this and the Durango srt?
@CedAdj5 жыл бұрын
The Durango can take up to 6 passengers total. The Jeep can only take 4 passengers. So, it depends on how big your family is or will be. But, it is the same engine. They are also badass looking but, one issue I have with the Durango SRT is that there is not that much difference between that and the Durango R/T. So, it doesn't really stand out. But, the Jeep SRT and Trackhawk are litteraly on Steroid. They are bigger and larger than the all the Grand Cherokees and they definitely stand out!
@norwegianblue20175 жыл бұрын
Even if I had the money for a Trackhawk, I can't see driving an SRT and thinking I needed another couple of hundred extra horsepower. My current car is 280hp and I get in trouble with that. 475hp sounds like an insane amount of power to me.
@CedAdj5 жыл бұрын
No 475 hp is plenty trust me! The entire neighborhood will know it's you when you pull up! You can even do some little things to get it up to 520hp like I did. But, there is no need to to buy a Trackhawk and I am not saying that because I'm a hater or because I can't afford it whatever.... No, I test drove one of them and I was honestly disappointed! They look the exact same as the SRT for once and the only difference it's the badging and the yellow calipers. As for the engine tho... I am not going to lie...It is extremely brutal and a little louder than the SRT. The whining sound is really what makes the difference since it is an hellcat engine. So, overall nothing stood out. so if you have 100K to spend just get a Range Rover period!

Just switch to PowerStop z23 rotors and pads, they last longer, look better, produce no dust, and are way cheaper. The downside is worse initial bite.
I took home a 2015 Red Vapor edition. Straight pipe Borla, in great condition. Had 56,000+ on the odometer, and got it for $48,000+. Though I wanted a 2018 and up, this 2015 has all the bells and whistles I wanted. Scooped it up in time before someone else could’ve had all the fun I’m having now LOL!

For reals we have an 07 escalade to haul our daughter around in and the trucks a heavy girl. We would like more power and obviously more modern. I'm debating between the 15 escalade and a 14 srt. You absolutely correct I brought a certified used 2014 Jeep srt and a month later the engine went in it. The dealer covered it under the drive train warranty. And after I got it back 2 1/2 months later the water pump went in it. 60,000 miles when the engine went. I brought the extended warranties 100 deductible. As well so guys and girls do that inspection.

It seems like the cars fall apart easy if you are afraid to buy one that’s test driven. They are made to rock! They are suppose to be tested. I would be more worried buying one that hasn’t taken off its training wheels yet. If it’s that concerning buy a Honda Civic. I appreciate the advice you are given people but the cars built for roaring let it roar.
