STIPERSTONES | WILD CAMPING NOT GOING TO PLAN

Sometimes a wild camp doesn't go to plan. I was in two minds whether to release this, but decided I would for two reasons.
1. I spent the time getting the footage, so it seemed a waste if I didn't.
2. It's still a good hike and shows off a different part of Shropshire.
Lessons were learned. As I've never been to the Stiperstones before (yes, for a Shropshire lad, this is poor). So when going to new locations, it's best to scout new locations for a camp. We all know plenty of spots in the mountain areas, so they're not too much of an issue.

We’ve all done it. I arrived in the Cairngorms with a power bank but none of the leads so, after one night, I headed home. Fortunately, the roads are scenic.

I tend to forget something, but it's usually something silly like my sunglasses or a coffee for the drive to wherever it is I'm going, not something I need for a camp 😂... Lesson well learned.

Shropshire is a beautiful County. So glad wife and I moved from Brum 8 years ago to this county. Visited Long Mynd and Stiperstones several times and Nipstone rock. Fantastic scenery. Shame you never got to camp but good vid nonetheless. 🙂

I love it here, lucky enough to have the Shropshire Hills pretty much on my doorstep. Doesn't take long to get out in nature, and it's not too far from Snowdonia if I want some mountains. Glad you enjoy it here. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 👍🏼

Looks great there. My main hikes are the Longmynd and surrounding hills as it's easy for me to get there by train as I don't drive. One day I'll do the Stiperstones when I figure out public transport to and from Shrewsbury. Great videos

The Long Mynd is fantastic, I love it round there. I'd imagine they'll be a bus service to Pontensbury and beyond? (In fact, I'm sure I drove behind/or past a bus on my way there). Hopefully you manage to get over to the Stiperstones. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

I recommend it, you could probably park down in Stiperstones village which is nearer to the path up... Plus there's a pub there 👀... If you enjoy a nice post hike pint 👍🏼
