Great to see you Barbara! You did look beautiful in the skirt and top, but I think you will get annoyed when the skirt bunches up. I loved the jacket on you. Hi Barbara! This was a great Fix! I loved you in the skirt outfit with the jean jacket! That is exactly how I would wear it too. I know you said the skirt was riding up, but with the sweater worn out, you could not tell and honestly I just thought you looked great! Also loved that blue jacket and black top. Hi Barbara, Lady you have been missed! 1st getting the fix out of the way, that jacket is a big yes, it looks great on you! The skirt, sweater, and your jean jacket are beautiful together, and I can see dressing that skirt up as well, with a medium wedge heel, I say go for it. The black top is definitely a winner, but the red one not so much, it's those puffy sleeves, even if you push them up it's still not very flattering on your frame. Now for the dining room, OMG I knew I'd love your new home, it's gorgeous! I love the natural airiness of it, the simplicity of the white and black, and WOW the modern chandeliers... It’s so nice to see you and your house. I have that skirt in black and I never pull for it but the jacket is a definite and I say sleep on the rest and keep what you truly love- no need to hurry the buying just to buy but do get what makes you happy. If I did a sideboard I would have it solid for storage not something else to clean . Looks beautiful!

@@BCsells yeah to me the main purpose is storage and then secondary is a place to help serve/ spread out the buffet but depending on how often you entertain the space could be better open and clean with a pop up table and cloth to serve off of as needed- have fun deciding - both clothes and house!

What a beautiful space for a dining room! I can't wait to see it transform in the coming months. I have that Eden Society jacket in dark green. The flaps of the pockets can easily slip inside the pockets and give it another look. I prefer it that way because they are out of the way when I want to put my hands in my pockets. Easy access, I'm all for it! What if you sized up in the skirt? It looked really cute with your jean jacket. And you're right, you could get a navy knit top at Target, Walmart, or Old Navy for less than half the price.

Hi Barb. Wow You look amazing. Your skin is glowing. I have not seen you and think I missed a video. I love your house and the lake for a view…how pretty and relaxing. I am going to be different. I liked everything. If you kept the whole box you could wear that red top under blazers or jackets. I have a very similar denim jacket ( like the one you own. For some reason, I always feel younger and put together when I wear that jean jacket…sure no one else thinks that 😂😂😂. I need something. Your looks good with the skirt and navy top. I am sorry you had strep throat. When I was trying to go to a summer class when I was twenty years old I kept getting strep. I had to have my tonsils out at twenty one…Omg it was so painful. I could not eat for three and a half weeks. The good thing is I don’t get sick often. I last had a cold in the 90s. I have not had Covid . I don’t know if tonsils make that big of a deal. I better knock on wood. I wear Shapermint for shapewear. I refuse at this age to wear something that hurts just to look better. Shapermint is pretty comfortable but still gives you a smooth line and it is not as expensive as Spanx. I say keep it all …love the navy jacket and love the black top. The red top would be paid for. If you look at the video you will see how pretty the red color looks on you. So good seeing you. If you have a secret for glowing skin let us know. Hugs ❤❤❤❤

I've been getting facials about every couple of months and using a new product (to me) called Drmtlgy, Universal Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 46 that I saw on social media. It doesn't give me the coverage like I thought, but I like the protection and a little bit of glow. Strep is no joke....I had a difficult time with it this last time. There's something to be said for not having your tonsils, Mike doesn't have his and he's never had strep. I'll look into the Shapermint. Thank youso much for watching.

@@BCsells Thanks I am now using a tinted moisturizer. I loved the sun when I was younger and I think the heavier make up makes me look older. I have seen that one..when this one is gone I might check it out. Your skin did look fantastic. I have not had colds, strep, but I had two months with headaches and dizziness. I had struggled with finding a new eye doctor after losing mine to his retirement. So, I went to someone new. I never thought my glasses were right. I went to an excellent guy last month ….they spent two hours with me. He said he thought my glasses were horribly wrong. So, I wore my ones from 2016. When I got my new glasses I could see, the headaches stopped and no more dizziness. I am so ready for Spring. I hope to see more of you and the house. 💕💕💕

At first, I thought the skirt was too "work wear", but I think you could treat it like a pair of shorts...sneakers or sandals, tank or tshirt, denim jacket looked great. I also like the navy sweater, but you could definitely find something similar for less. I love the color of the red top, but those sleeves are odd. Jacket and black top are great. I love your dining room so far...so much light! Are you on a golf course? I think you're at a stage in your life where you want to keep things simple and avoid nick knacks and clutter (I know I am). The glass sideboard is really pretty, but probably impractical for your lifestyle. Do you need a sideboard for either storage or serving? If its just for serving then maybe a simple long narrow table of some kind against the accent wall? I guess I'd like to see something on that wall...just not sure what. Can't wait to see what you decide to do.

Black is not your colour. Navy blue is the darkest colour you should wear near your face. Black drains your face of colour and navy lifts your skin. That's what I was talking about. Look at "warm spring" - there should be some palettes on the internet that can help you choose wardrobe colours for your skin tone. How is the family? I hope everyone is doing fine. Yes we sized down a lot when we retired. I don't like cleaning and finding a good service with consistent results is darned near impossible here. But - I love living by the ocean, the rainforests, and wildlife. Even a small home here is over a million dollars now. @@BCsells

We would love to live by the ocean, but this is the closest we could come to living in Ohio. I can only imagine how beautiful it is where you're living. Maybe look at a possible consignment or table for the wall? it wouldn’t be for storage as it would be open below but still may add the decor factor you may be looong for? Either way. It’s looking so good and so lovely to sit in!

Ok. I usually agree with all your choices but I suggest you look again at the skirt. Maybe size up one size? Not sure. Maybe the sideboard has an option for non-see through or smoked glass?

Hi Barbara! Oh no. Strep as an adult is awful. I was babysitting my grandson on Tuesday. He has a perpetual cold and cough from preschool, and this afternoon, my throat started getting sore. Toddlers are little germ magnets! Your home looks absolutely beautiful. Very pretty short sleeve sweater. It looks nice with the skirt. I understand where you are coming from. I'm starting to say that I'm fluffy. My whole body has shifted, and I've gone up at least one size. Thankful for elasticized waistbands. Love the jacket. It's perfect. The black top is gorgeous. My favorite piece. I love how you have the lake (or pond), behind you. I don't know if I'd put anything on the decorative wall. Perhaps a mirror, and that would be it. Have a great weekend. Hugs. ❤🫂

Hi Rene, Oh yes, the grandkids are definitely little germ magnets! I was never sick while living in VA, but this winter, it seemed like I was getting something every 3-4 weeks. I'm not sure how I'd wear jeans if it weren't for Ab-solution, so I know what you're talking about. Thank you so much, Gigi. We didn't want the TV over the fireplace, so we placed it to the side. It's mounted on an arm that extends and tilts and since we have a family room in the lower level with a large TV, that's where we actually watch TV at night. The one in the Great Room isn't turned on very often.

Ok as for the clothes, hmmm I really liked the navy sweater and skirt but I am just afraid you will find yourself pulling at the skirt. I would try it on with some shape wear and see if that keeps it from riding up. It really looked cute with the jean jacket. I would definitely keep the jacket and black top although I really like the navy sweater top, it is classic looking. 😊

Hi Barbara, beautiful home, beautiful view. Not sure where you are other than it appears the East Coast. Glad your over the strep! Yuk Loved the black top with the sheer puff sleeve. It fit beautifully, and your hair and complexion contrast nicely. The red color is nice, but the fabric and fit a no go. I did like the navy top, but the sleeves looked too short like you needed to size up, as did the skirt. The jacket was nice, but it did look too snug, sorry to say. If things are too big, they look frumpy, too small people look overweight, and it cheapens the outfit appearance. I hate to be a Negative Nell, but what's the point of buying expensive clothes if they don't make you look like a million bucks. I've watched you for a few years . Thank you so much, Donna. Our view is the reason we bought the lot since they are difficult to find in the area we wanted to live in (we live in Cincinnati suburb). Totally agree with you that I need to size up. I thought the same thing watching the video. I have an appointment at the end of March to help me live a healthier lifestyle, which will probably end up with some weight loss. I know I am in the minority here, and I TRULY mean no offense. But I don't understand why I would care about someone else's home or dining room. That said - I enjoyed the clothing portion of the video, so thank you for sharing that! And you look lovely in everything, so get the need for shapewear out of your head. A navy top from Target will not have the longevity of a more quality piece, but if that works for you, I would just stop doing Stitch Fix and shop at Target. But I would also ask - would you shop for your dining room at Target? I think not. I hope your home continues to fulfill your dreams. And honestly, I'm just expressing my personal opinion, but let the bashing begin!! I do appreciate all you do, and thank you for the posts.

Hi Linda, The only reason I share the decorating part is because viewers who have followed our journey for the last two-plus years have asked to see it. Since I've been sick and don't have a lot to show at this time, I decided to add it to the end of this video. The good part about that, is you don't have to watch that part of the video. By the way, you can shop at Target for dining room tables and chairs ... you'd be surprised at what you can find there, especially online. You could furnish your entire house from Target.
