Someone brought it to my attention that Lord of the Flies isn't technically a banned book. Many states have challenged it, however.

I believe Florida banned Lord of the Flies. Nothing is banned here in Southern California

I’m not in the mood yet to decorate for Christmas. However, I am in the mood to Diamond paint a Christmas canvas. You are definitely not alone this year. This time of year can certainly be overwhelming!

I don't really feel like it's a hassle, but I really don't want to do all the gifting. My husband and I pretty much buy what we want and need throughout the year so there really isn't something that I want him to buy me. I fear being a scrooge, I'm not. I just want to have a nice meal and enjoy time with friends and family. That is enough for me.

Nope not alone. There’s so much commercialism now and prices are so high. I feel like I want to get back to the “good old days” when times were slower and Christmas was something to look forward to. So no you’re not alone. Hugs❤

I used to love Christmas, once my grandsons stop believing and then their sperm donor taking them away from all of us, even my daughter ( crooked courts) well known to be... So 3 years ago I found literally a Charlie Brown tree. It goes on the middle of my small kitchen table. We are actually going to Florida to be with my Dad. He is 83. I am excited just to be with 2 of the 5 males in my life. On the way home we are going to NC and spending 3 days with our 14 and 16 yr old grands. All that to say I agree, I actually think it's because stores can't even wait for Halloween to start with Carols and decor.

Oh I know what you mean about Christmas blah!! I started decorating yesterday and hard to get into it for sure! I also get a lot of gift cards! Love your videos! Hey, Danielle! First of all, NO, you are definitely not alone in feeling the way you do! 😩🙃 The holidays can be super overwhelming, and triggering, too, especially for those of us who’ve have lost spouses and/or loved ones. Thank you for your transparency on that issue. I also find prayer and reading my Bible is what I need. Secondly, I’m so excited that you showed your favorite grime guard…The only one I have is one of those that almost swallow up my project, and it so annoying to try to clip it out of the way! I will sure be checking out that Etsy shop. 😉 Also, loved the tour of your library, and your Diamond paintings! You are not alone in the ba hum bug mood. So much negative vibes these last few months with the voting and wars and weather and storms then all our personal trials heaped on top of that its exhausting. So i think thats why we feel overwhelmed at the moment it feels to much like a chore than something to enjoy. Lets jusy all put our happy hats on and try for a little bit hear and there and as time moves on we can decide thats it we are done then sit down and enjoy. Nothing says we have to put out everything every year. Joy and good tidings to us.

I too read Lord of the Flies my freshman year of high school. It’s not one I would ever read again, but it’s not as awful as Animal Farm was lol which was sophomore year of high school for me.

What exactly do people feel will happen by banning books? Do they even know what their end goal is? Christmas is for kids. We don't buy adults gifts and that is a hill I will die on. It's made Christmas a lot less stressful.

Hi Danielle, my hobby is Diamond painting. The project you are working on is that cross-stitch? My cousin-in-law from Nova Scotia tried to teach me Cross-stitch, but ended having several shots of Tequila. I am lefthanded, to me the world is backwards. Please give or tell me some KZbin channel for beginning Cross-stitch, and Crocheting, and needle point. I have the Christmas blues probably because my parents nor sister are alive.

As a single woman, I would rather have a quiet Christmas. I go to church, eat a meal with my family, and then pass out gift cards , then it's over. I do put up a small tree because I like the lights. I avoid the craziness as much as possible.

Certain states have challenged it. But yes I see that it is not officially banned. I will still keep it on that shelf.

I am iffy about Christmas. I go all out, and now that I'm older, it gets harder each year to physically do what I do. The entire family comes to our house, including a few who stay here a few days. So right now, I'm facing either truly disappointing people, or just wearing myself out and work through it.

You are not alone, Danielle. The true meaning of Christmas is wonderful, but all the things we do are what makes it a hassle. We are supposed to start decorating today, and I am not really in the mood. Once you are done, it's festive and relaxing to look at, but then it's all gotta come down in a month. Bah humbug. Time for an attitude adjustment for me 😂
