Sarah what a brilliant idea!! This gives folks a whole month to practice each specialty stitch. But "over one" won't work on this one, so it will need to be linen or even weave. I'm off to your shop!

Such great news for me! I have been wanting to try specialty stitches ever since you were working on that alphabet sampler from Drawn Thread. So there is no wonder I have already went to your etsy store and now you have at least one stitcher stitching your pattern in Romania. :) I do hope you will guide us with some videos at the beginning of each month, for those of us who learn better from a video tutorial than from paper instructions. Great idea, thank you for this pattern! Happy stitching!

Great! Yes, I have just uploaded tutorials for the border and January's stitch. I have tutorials filmed already for the rest of the stitches, so I'll post them as I am able and they'll all be kept in their own playlist for reference whenever you need them. :)

So fun! I've never done specialty stitches before. This will be fun. Debating about turning it 90 degrees so the daisy stitches can be for September since it's my favorite flower and my birth month... We'll see how the year would fit.
@StitchinMommyКүн бұрын
If you turn it 90 degrees, so that the lazy daisies end up for September, the amount of stitches in each block would no longer match the amount of days in that month. So, if you're willing to play around with the layout of some of the other months, that could be a fun idea!

Dose the pattern come with a chart to show what color to use for the temperature for each day in my area?
@StitchinMommy2 күн бұрын
@@jackiturner9228 Hi Jacki, yes the pattern comes with 4 different symbol keys that you can pick from to choose one that best suits the temperatures in your area. They each use the same 20 DMC colors, but the temperatures assigned to each color vary depending on the key you choose.

@marciaoppedal91816 сағат бұрын
Love this idea I want to do it for our 50th wedding anniversary in 2025 but am having trouble finding the temperatures for 1975. What sites do you recommend for determining the high temperatures for previous years in a specific location I’ve already purchased pattern, floss and fabric ❤
@StitchinMommy5 сағат бұрын
@@marciaoppedal9181 Hi Marcia, I had success finding my old temperatures on wunderground.com - they have a history section where you can fill in the place, month and year and get all the temperatures. At the top of each results page, there’s a graph, but if you scroll down a bit, the temperatures are listed out in a chart, which is easier to record. I needed to pull up a new page for each month of the year and then I wrote them down to have them on hand. I hope you can find your year! And if they don’t have your exact town, you can try the nearest big city - maybe their records would go farther back. I hope that helps!

Love it!! Does is require evenweave or could I use aida? Ive never attempted specialty stitches! So it would be really amazing and a challenge to work on this!
@StitchinMommy2 күн бұрын
@@elinorrebibo822 Hi Elinor! You could use Aida if you don’t mind splitting the squares. Some of the stitches don’t need to split squares, but some do. If you go that route, maybe try using a smaller needle or a sharper needle, so it’ll be easier to split the Aida blocks.
