Air temperature was in the 50’s but the water temp was still in the 70’s on this day. I actually fish shallow water year round. In this shallow water you can produce quality fish. You will probably get less bites but the quality of the fish can be better. If there is bait up shallow I will fish it.

What type of waders and brand do you have

I spent some money and got the Simms G3 waders. I’ve had them for 4 years and no leaks. If you’re just starting out I would get some froggToggs or some off Amazon for around $100. If you’re really into wading then I would look into getting waders with Goretex.

For any one out there that needs to hear this- Do not keep fish, the head part, out of the water longer that 30 seconds. Ya, they may swim off like their fine but could suffer brain damage that will keep them from feeding or damage their reproductive abilities.
