goes to show how much more important the driver is than the car, amazing driving man.

Don't underestimate set up brother! Of coarse the driver plays a bit part, but so does the suspension set up. This thing is far from a stock MX-5 (or Miata) depending on where you come from. This guy has this thing well dialled in, the short, tight sections are perfect for a low powered drift car like this. Imagine with a decent turbo set up and some E85 and an MLS and some ARP head studs, turbo grind cams, valve springs and a decent bowel blend job for the head- you could easily increase in he power by 200-250% (of coarse a decent ecu would be needed). Damn, if he did the bottom end as well there's no reason this thing couldn't put down 500-600hp without stupid lag. MX-5's are seriously underrated. I"d love to build one like this with a decent built motor and a spooli boi

Soooo, LS swap or built motor and turbo. Maybe a K24, or an SR... HELL, even a 13B from a series 5 or 6 RX-7 would be unreal. Me, I'd do an RB25 swap myself- but it'd effect it's weight distribution- but it'd be worth it for 9000+RPM of RB goodness... 😂💪👌
