A beautiful end to a beautiful story! I'm glad that Duke and Simon were able to look into each other's perspective, they definitely needed to run a mile in each other's shoes... or on each other's rails so to speak haha. And I'm super happy that Harris gets to stay and take over pilot duties. It's better than being shut up or scrapped at any rate. Everything from start to finish was gorgeous. I enjoyed voicing Adeline, thank you for allowing me to do so!

What a great ending to this Mini-Series! Never thought I would see Duke get repainted in the same livery as the rest of the Skarloey Engines (not counting Duncan as he's yellow); with that being said, great story. And can't wait for Rowan the Garrat Engine.

The mirroring is superb: while Adeline was struggling to regain her past, Duke was struggling to not be stuck in his past. Duke was the one to advise Adeline to look ahead in life, only to have Adeline remind him of exactly that. We saw Duke relate his own experience underground when he wanted to help Adeline, but (at least) I didn’t expect to get a full-flesh out of Duke’s character. Pretty amazing. This saga came full circle, really: we started with wondering why Duke’s number was how it is, we learn it’s because of Adeline, then we have Duke and Adeline be mirrors of each other. Just brilliant. We’ll definitely look forward to more STMY, WNW!

Duke in red is just so... stunning! What a wonderful end to a great tale. I am baffled by the choice to repaint duke but it works so well. Harris is such an interesting character and I cant wait to see more of him. Adelines story is wrapped in a sung little bow, and it was a great series to follow. You have earned every subscriber and like you have gotten and your techniques have taught me just about everything I know. Great work!

This is a brilliant finale to this outstanding arc! The scenes where Duke first met his new grace "Simon" reminded me of The Duke & the Earl (mostly in ilovetrains323's series), and I like the heartfelt moment between them after Simon saved Sir Handel from a landslide. I also like the ending with James, the new livery for Duke, and a great happy ending for Adeline and Harris (for they now become part of the main fleet of the SKR). Looking forward to Rowan the Garrett Engine.

A lovely and fitting end to the story of Adeline. Every character got to be involved in some way, and everyone got a well deserved ending. I'm looking forward to what's in store for Rowan the Garrett Engine, but I thought Mainline Engines Again would be next. Have your plans changed to include new ideas and story elements.

@@WildNorWester so Duke in the end decided to go over to a new coat of paint which I must say suits him very well and Harris finally found a home railway. Duke's repaint reminds me of Princess one of the Ffestiniog railway's England class engines that he is based on. I saw Princess while she was on display at Paddington station back in 2013 while I was having my breakfast.

Wow, this was longer than last week. Until you mentioned it was 20 minutes long in the PM, I assumed this one would be shorter than the rest as it's the epilogue chapter. Who knew Adeline would be curious about George Carlin? I'm glad she and Duncan started to rekindle their friendship. Wow, Duke was owned by both His Grace and Adeline. I always assumed Adeline stood no nonsense, and that clip proved me correct. Aww, Sir Handel was able to help get His Grace and Duke to make amends. And "you can call me Grandpuff if you'd like". That was so sweet. What a happy ending. Adeline has settled back onto the Skarloey Railway, Duke is humbled by the experience and Harris joins as the No. 12. This was an amazing saga, Dan. This final brightened my week big time. Thanks for being awesome.

I just binged all six parts + the prologue! I have to say the mid credits scene was pretty funny. So many livery changes, absolutely brilliant. I really got Grampus vibes from Harris in part 5 and the absolute amount of foreshadowing man, Bravo! Can't wait to see the next mini-series!

That was a great end to this Mini-series, I am happy for Harris since he's working as Station Pilot on the SKR, it was great that Duke has gotten more character development and that he is now looking to the future, the part where James interacting with Duke was funny and I'm looking forward to Rowan The Garratt Engine.

Well that really was fantastic! Less focus on Adeline, however her character arc was largely finished. Still nice to finish it, now she can completely look to the future. Duke's character arc, his relationship with Sir Simon and resolving his issues. The change of his paint job and looking to the future. Harris gets a nice ending, now that he's owned by the Thin Controller. I look forward to what's coming next!

So my feeling about Harris being bought by the Skarloey Railway that I had last week was right and I must admit that Harris does look quite good in SKR red. As for Duke, he does look good in the SKR red livery with blue and yellow lining but I think some people will mistaken him for Prince on the Ffestiniogg Railway in Wales.

No gonna lie, it's rather jarring seeing Duke in SKR red, having been so used to seeing him in various shades of chocolate or tan. I do like how it gives off some vibes of 2 of Duke's siblings from the Ffestiniog, Prince and Princess, but it'll take a while for me to get used to it. Either way, this was really a rather splendid little mini series you put together, and i'm certainly looking forward to seeing Rowan and the stories he may bring along with him!

Can I just say how clever you are, I love how you slowly shifted from Ivo Hugh, to duncan, to adeline, to Duke. that was very clever. kind of like how season 4 worked. It started off with the focus on the narrow gauge engines, then rusty to rescues shifted it to standard gauge engines. Brilliant work To be here for all of these short stories has been a fun ride. These are just very enjoyable to watch, keep up the great work. and have a great day.

But since he's an engine he doesn't know much about romance or women so he goes around asking all of his equally clueless friends to help him out so he has something profound to say to the Earl.

This episode has taught me 3 important life lessons: to accept change and move on from the past. I used to dwell on the past too much until I realized that it’s not healthy for me and when it came to changes sometimes it was hard for me to accept and adjust to them. But this episode made me realize that sometimes you need to let go of the past and accept changes and move on. Another lesson this episode taught me is to learn to control your emotions towards others. Sometimes I would be judgmental and destructively critical towards certain people for certain reasons but this episode has made me realize that sometimes you need to look at things in a different way and take them with a grain of salt. So I can personally relate to this episode because it made me realize some mistakes that I’ve made in my life. So thank you and good job Wildnorwester and keep up the great work and I’m looking forward to seeing Rowan the Garrett engine in the near future.

A beautiful ending to this well scripted and delightful mini-series. After watching this episode during my work break, went back and watched the entire series from the beginning with Duncan Gets spooked, to the last episode, all of the episodes flowing smoothly, and what I find interesting is giving us your take about this "ghost engine" and even delving deeper into a few episodes from T&F season 1 such as Down the mine. I have to say by far my favorite episodes are Final Train and Past tense. incorporating those flash backs with Adeline, to eventually overcoming her fears. The best scene, which took me this long to figure out is Unfinished business where Ivo hue began humming 12 days of Christmas... a spoiler if anyone managed to catch on... All in all, I enjoyed this mini-series and do look forward to your upcoming work with Rowan the Garratt Engine.
