Carefull now, those rod bolts wont last with you shifting at that rpm. Unless they are arp. Then again they were talking about being fine for awhile. like maybe 1k miles.

The rev limiter is set for 7800. The tach isn’t accurate at higher rpm’s. Honestly, from the way my fuel curve is, the power starts to fall off around 7800rpm anyway, so no need to rev higher then that.

do you need new rod bolts if you plan on just setting the rev limiter to 7800?

From my experience, I would say no. I believe the rev limit for the b20 is 7200 or 7300. I haven’t had an issue with a 7800 limiter, and I know plenty of people who rev it well over 8,000. That being said, I rarely find my self taking it to the 7800 limiter because there is so much mid range torque you don’t need to, and plus, with the stock GSR intake manifold and the stock header, I don’t think I’m gaining much by going all the way to 7800.

Lol so much work put into slapping a vtec head on that b20 just to rev it that far and run the chance of spinning a bearing or thrashing the bolts 😮

The limiter is set at 7700rpm. The stock tach reads high in the upper rpm’s.

That is the shift light. The Hondata s300 allows you to set a shift light in each gear.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a near by track out here in Montana. I’m guessing a low 14 on street tires 🤷🏽‍♂️
