I own a '19 C7Z M7. Car is really fast. The C8Z's will take the C7Z from a dig. Roll racing they are pretty even based on power to weight ratios.

This C7Z has a passenger and was still ahead by a little. Whenever there is a video of even or zero passengers, C7Z beats it convincingly on a roll. You're right about dig race of course. Mid-engine traction wins there.

Yeah if you only care about straight line speed. But the c8 z06 handles way better. The c7 z06 is faster than the newest gt3rs in a straight line but the gt3 is still a way better car. The c8 z06 sounds and performs way better than the previous generation

Based on trap speeds i'm seeing from owner videos this result makes sense. I know GM advertises 130 MPH+ traps on the C8Z but im just not seeing those as the norm. They seem to be more like high 120's which is identical to C7 Z's. Either way good race.

There are already several videos out showing C7Z beating C8Z in roll racing. Nobody is disputing that C8Z has the traction advantage to be better at drag racing from a stand still. C8Z has worse power to weight ratio when calculated with the right curb weight for both cars. C8 is a very heavy platform, with the C8Z exceeding 3700 lbs compared to C7Z at 3550 lbs. Passenger has to be taken into account as well. The one with the passenger will be at a disadvantage compared to the one without.

You mean slow for a 2023 GM that people pays up to 225kusd. The Viper Gen V ( 2013-2017 ), C8Z06 is unable to beat it from a roll like this and the Viper is a 10 years old car normally aspirated engine.

Yeah right this is real you couldn't even hear the c8 zo6 and when the c7 slowed down the c8 was like in a cruise not racing. The c8 zo6 is a beast and very loud with loud downshifts i didn't hear anything. Nice try tho. If this was a real race the c7 would look like its going super fast in reverse.

@gahaha8565 torque is for the dig not when a roll race, torque will make a car take off the line faster more horsepower will make the car faster when its going. There's really no video of the c7 zo6 vs c8 zo6 from a roll, there's is one that the guy said he let go of the gas and in that same video off the dig the c8 zo6 beats it by a city block. The c8 zo6 has more horsepower with a dual clutch trans therefore no way it can lose. Especially if the c8 zo6 beats the c7 zo6 in a drag race off the like line as if it were racing a regular family car. The c8 zo6 has unbelievable shifting with 670hp its in a far higher level. The c8 zo6 is almost tied with the c7 zr1. I think the c7 zr1 might be a hair faster then c8 zo6

@gahaha8565 the c8 zo6 is not faster cause of the mid engine. It's a flat plane crank and a dual clutch trans its modern technology. The c7 zo6 needs a super charger the new c8 is all motor. I race these cars I've had a c7 zo6 before I had my c8. In a roll the c8 zo6 beats the c7 version easily. The video I seen on KZbin are people that don't know how to race. If you want corvette content that's true don't look at videos of people with the first time they drive a sports car. Watch brinkofspeed and horsepowerobsessed those guys know about corvettes and are excellent drivers as they've had these cars for years. Ask them what is faster they will make a true video not people that rented a corvette for a day without knowing how the car drives. I bet your a c7 owner

Dig race that c8. Then put them On a track. Don’t just put the supercharged 6.2 liters against the NA 5.5 and give them the advantage then shit on the NA car. Fake Ferrari look? The gt3 is slower than a c7 z06 but the gt3 is a way better sports car. Its not excuses its just the BETTER car haha and its naturally aspirated!! If it had no aero on it the c8 would smoke that c7😂

Gm are very late with this type of engine and stupid, the car is heavy and ugly and mass produced! When I see the wannabe at the carshow with Aventador SV of Ferrari Pista, the GM is a poor's man wannabe exotic and mass produced compare to the true exotic! Please don't compare your poor Chevrolet with a Porsche 911 992 GT3, apple and orange! The GT3 have always been ultra balanced track machine, not the Chevrolet with a lot of spilled HP! For 670HP the GM IS SLOW in straight line!
