As a grower I'm finding stock a tricky crop - a challenge I'm determined to overcome. The key is they need cool conditions and as a brassica, may require insect excluding netting, higher soil pH, as well as some shade. The stem you're using is really stunning..!

Can stock be used in floral foam? Does it drink okay? Also ranunculus?

You can definitely use Stocks in foam. With the ranuncs the stems break really easily, so you'll want to wire them as well as use something firm to create your holes first.

Yeah - so much of our work relies on the quality of the product we can get from growers. It's definitely worth hunting around for a local source. The season is super short lived, but I found the locally grown stock I can get my hands on is absolutely incredible.
