Hello, what is the difference between part number 1793 and 17930? Your part fitted 1793?
@CarsAndGadgetsAu Жыл бұрын
@@karolissab9264 honestly, I didn't know. Best to contact Car mods Australia. Perhaps it's a slightly different revision?

Just picked up a second hand Octavia RS162 . I was surprised at how quiet the stock exhaust is. Even the stock Golf GTIs (which obviously share the same engine) have a bit of a growl to them. This looks like a good option for me as I wanted to improve the exhaust note without forking out for a down pipe.

Hi Kevin, thanks for your comment. It's done me well and I am happy with it. Others I have spoken to who have got the same res usually complaint that it's not "loud enough" to which I usually respond with it does what I need it to do and sound improves with age as it "soots up". Also I recommend removing the "rockguard/snowgrate" from the airbox for more whooshing sounds :-)
@kevildub5 жыл бұрын
@@CarsAndGadgetsAu I'll look at doing the rock guard thing. I was thinking of getting an aftermarket intake but they are pricey. If I'm not careful this budget, practical family car is quickly going to drain my bank account 😄. Loving the car so far though... Should've got one years ago. I agree with you on the sound though, too loud can be a bit obnoxious.

@@CarsAndGadgetsAu cheers mate. I've recently come back to the dark side (VAG) after owning my Mazda 3 MPS for 8 years. Had a Polo GTi before that.

How long did it take to 'soot up'?

Hi Buddy .. the performance (acceleration) of the car it is normal?
@CarsAndGadgetsAu6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mauricio - the performance if anything is the same or slightly better due to less restriction of flow through the exhaust. I don't have any dyno figures except my "butt" dyno ;-)

Hello, No resonance problem at 130 km / h (80 mph) and the noise is not too much present inside the car ?

Hey they, I'm not sure but if it's the same sized exhaust system, then I couldn't see why not. Maybe worth asking on the Skoda Modderz Facebook group for more information. facebook.com/groups/SkodaModderz/?ref=share

Hi mate, do you need a sleeve to join the new resonator to the standard exhaust? Thanks in advance from the UK
@CarsAndGadgetsAu3 жыл бұрын
Not that I'm aware of. I got a local exhaust shop here in Australia to fit it for me.

@@CarsAndGadgetsAu Thanks for your reply. It must of come with the all the bits needed. I've ordered one, just wondering if it was literally just the resonator in the box

Hi ITninjaguy, I wish to do the same thing until i can afford a proper aftermarket system. How difficult was it to fit and is there anything else i need to purchase to fit this resonator?
@CarsAndGadgetsAu6 жыл бұрын
Bima Muharam I paid a local car exhaust place to install the for me. It's a very quick job but because it was such a small job, they asked for me to leave it with them for the day and they did it when they could fit it in between their bigger jobs. It was approx. $60 bucks to install

Hello, are you still happy with this Resonator? I see that you've did it 6 months ago and I'm curious if it's still working good?

Can I ask what exact resonator you bought, size etc? Sounds great!

This is my first ever exhaust mod and I have really enjoyed learning about the whole process and of course a major improvement as far as sound is concerned.
