I enjoy the maverick sport model myself. Very solid platform.

A steering rack brace will get rid of that bump steer you are feeling and seeing in the steering wheel. You've driven mine around the shop area and could feel the difference right away. That in itself will eliminate all the chatter that you feel in your arms making it way more comfortable on your body overall. A set of suspension seats like I have makes the ride SOOOO much smoother and long days are a breeze. I'm finding the 72" wide is way smoother on the FSR but there are other challenges in our riding areas that go with that as well. The differences in the seating positions I think also makes a difference. Great review and comparison of the 2 machines but like you say it really does depend on what terrain you want to ride and choosing the machine to suit your needs. AND it should have a turbo...lol

Great feedback and you are the man to go to for these improvements! You would think out of the crate though the premier machine for can am would have Stock a tighter feel then the midrange sport. A little more time in the Pro R will tell me how much I need a Turbo or not lol it’s pretty amazing without one. Everyone check out Vector Performance to correct this steering issue!

@@MartoriousMartuzzi Agreed. In a premier machine, comfort and ride are important. I'm excited to see the Pro R in action. I'm calling shotgun!!... 🤪... and it still needs a turbo...lol

That's exactly why I traded my DS on my XRS with Smart Shox. I do understand what you're saying though. You shouldn't have to spend 33k to get a nice ride out of an offroad vehicle like the X3. If you watch my video from when I picked up the XRS I talk about how bad the ride was in my DS. You could get different tires and Shock Therapy springs but obviously that isn't going to be cheap.

How are you liking the new one, and how many miles now on the ss?
@AssaultOffroad2 жыл бұрын
@@MartoriousMartuzzi I have just over 400 miles on it. It's a nice machine, I leave it in comfort mode 95% of the time and the ride is 👌. It soaks up almost everything that used to annoy me about the DS. It does bottom out if you jump in comfort mode though. Is it worth $10k more than the DS though? Probably not lol.

Check your nitrogen level my sport start to ride like garbage it was low in nitrogen. X3 and sport shocks have a crappy needle fill system on the resovoir. You need to replace those with shmidty racing resovoir end caps and enjoy leak free nitrogen levels.
