Hi Margaret, Thanks so much for making such great videos and especially for listing the product brands and links to find them. I especially appreciate that you make time to pay attention to your KZbin followers and viewers questions and that you actually respond to concerns and questions folks have. That is super RARE these days. You seem like a woman of integrity. I also understand the public can be very draining on people also and you certainly deserve to soak your cares away in that beautiful setting you live in. I also live in a rural area in the Appalachian mountains. I have wanted to make a hillbilly hot tub for 5 years plus. I am technically challenged and just found it intimidating to put one together. But after watching your videos I know I am now up to the task. In such a crazy world we live in, and such a stressful one also I definitely want to jump on this project. I already have a beautiful claw foot tub that I bought 5 yrs ago for this very purpose. Yet, is sits empty or filled with rainwater. I just have to figure out if I want to buy that stock tank and use it instead of my tub, for the very reason of wanting to swim my senior k9 in heated H20 and a sweet boy who has a rare disease and often can not go for his long walks. I was one of the first to open swim therapy for k9's in the U.S and i dearly miss it. The stock tank may make more sense for the dogs to swim in place vs the claw foot which is not as deep. Earlier in the week I was considering buying a plug and play spa to just keep things simple. But then I thought back on the days of maintaining water temps, and keeping the pool clean with toxic chemicals and all the maintenance that comes with a swim spa which I owned and used for my k9 hydrotherapy biz. The chemical use is the bad thing and so that is why after what feels like endless hrs of research and watching your great videos I have FINALLY decided to buy a non metal stock tank to use as a soaking tub and k9 exercise pool In any case I just want to let you know that I can not thank you enough for making such a nice set of videos about your hillbilly hot tub. I am so inspired by your videos. Thanks SO much Margaret.

You are welcome. I watched many videos before choosing this setup. I thought about copper coil and fire in a metal tub. That is expensive, time consuming and not cozy. (I sat in one at the feed store!) This is easy to clean and fill. No wood or smoke or waiting three hours to heat water. I do not refuse my water as it gets fairly gorrs after one use, although pumps and filtration could change that. I'm not near electricity where I placed this in the yard, so that is a consideration also. I find this to be simple and easy. Good luck with the doggie pool! They will enjoy for sure.

So you could add a small pump to keep recycling the water through the heater to keep it warm all the time you're in. I like it.

Yes you can! Although I use this as a single bath and add more water as needed to keep it toasty.

I had one at my cabin and it worked great. Just watch out for that top vent when it’s on and don’t forget it’s there 😅

Camplux! That is what I got. Thanks for the tutorial before I fire up mine! Looks like yours is battery operated control. I m hoping to add transfer pump to circulate the tub water thru the Camplux.

I do. I broke it for a while, (as I let it freeze) then had a friend fix it. I bought a cheaper brand yet I prefer this model much better now that is working agiain.

Again, yall are using a garden hose. Last I checked water hose source isn't available at 12k feet

Do you need to ground the system?

No grounding as the water tank uses batteries to spark the flame once water is turned on. Very easy and portable. Just the propane tank and. Hose
