Stocked Trout Fishing with Micetails & Power Eggs After Massive Rainstorm

I never usually go trout fishing after a massive rainstorm, but a break in the rain gave Tommy and I the chance to catch some stocked trout on a local pond. We brought out the micetails and the trout power eggs to catch these aggressive stocked trout, and did the trout ever go after our presentations.

I've been enjoying watching your videos. Every year there is a Trout Fishing Derby in Southern Idaho that I take my grandkids to. The categories are; first fish for boy and for girl, biggest fish for boy and for girl, and first to catch a limit of 6 for boy and for girl. I listened and applied a bunch of the tips from your videos. Between my 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, it was a clean sweep!!! I felt bad that no one else won anything. That feeling lasted about 2 seconds! Proud of my grandkids! Biggest fish was 3.25 lbs for the boy and 3.38 lbs for the girl! Thank you for taking the effort and time in making your videos!

@WillyFish I just posted a video doing a little catch and cook at lost lake coastal mountains down 26. Have you fished there? We were catching them within seconds of casting out lines. It was fun!

Like always here, fantastic fish catching video. i need to stock up on more of those Berkley powerbait 3 inch floating trout worms in orange peel and the 1/2" cm nymphs in the orange brown color. For some reason here, I have more luck with these than the powerbait jars. Maybe 5% of the time I will catch trout with the power bait jars. I just go with what works for me.

The power floating worms have been working really well this spring for some reason for me too! Under a bobber they have been deadly!

What kind of camera gear do you use? I use 2 gopro hero 11s. If you use a mic, what kind is it. Sounds good.

I am using GoPro10 with a lapel mic on my chest camera, filming in 4k on both cameras.

How do you fish the mice tails? A Carolina rig off the bottom?

You can fish micetails a couple of ways: carolina rig off the bottom OR under a bobber with a light weighted jig head (1/64oz)

@@WillyFish portland area is where I live. Lots of good trout fishing. What lake by chance? Might have to go with some buddies. Only 14 but I love fishing.
