Bloody amazing game and the picture for this is so cool. Great video picture. I love these “weird” moves we’re taught not to play like Qd7 blocking the light square bishop. Ai shows how unworried you should be when blocking your bishop like this. It looks like the problem for white in this Kings gambit is hesitating to play d4 immediately and using the Danish gambit Q+B battery early in the game so it has to switch the queen back. Its an immediate tempo loss. But the bishop sacrifice by black is what tipped it over. Also the way Stockfish exchanges knights at the end then blocks the other bishop out. Love that! I wanna see Danish Gambit always and Smith Morra for white cus its so rare to see people win with white in those, or play them at all. And if you feel like doing Berlin (or something similar) or Kings/Queens Indian (or Owen) for black would love to see those too! (I dont mind Smith Morra for black either!)

Best King's gambit for black i ever witnessed. Bobby fisher was not a fan of the king's gambit at all for white. Learned a lot fun game! Thx Josip :)

5. 0-0?! seems bad. I never play the KG as white but with black I have difficulties unless you stick to book. KG fans seem to know book very well. I'm 2100 on LiChess in blitz.

Has anyone tried to see how the engines play "dubious openings" (like Halloween gambit or Jerome gambit)? I would like to know what happens to dubious ideas at the highest level!

I adopted this fischer variation after seeing how well it scores on lichess database against the kings gambit. Ive been very successful against the kings gambit now

I've played this fianchetto defense many times. If black can hold the center and secure his King he can win.

Consider the wing gambit too. It is very annoying to deal with. Show us how other engines handle it too😊

Damn! Won't be able to play the Kings Gambit anymore, especially if my opponent runs to the toilet every ten minutes to check the lines on their phones!

This piece-sac is really hard to see, as the follow-ups are looking so slow and calm. We sometimes forget how strong the opponents of stockfish are.

I hate playing the kings gambit so much. Literally switching to the Sicilian in part to avoid this terrible opening
@oscarhernandez2779Ай бұрын
How are you “literally” switching to it? Calling Kings Gambit a “terrible opening” is uneducated, just like using “literally” when it doesnt make any sense to use it. Just because you cant win with it doesnt mean its a bad opening-it just means youre terrible using it. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKCVpatnhK9md9k
@cz19856Ай бұрын
what do you mean, kings gambit is with white and Sicilian is with black
@moussakaba7676Ай бұрын
@cz19856 I think he means he's playing 1..c5 instead of 1..e5 to avoid playing against the King's Gambit
@anatolytsinker5317Ай бұрын
Black is better in the kings gambit if you just learn like 6 moves of theory
@tong_thanh5837Ай бұрын
As a Sicilian player, when I occasionally play 1...e5 dealing with the King's gambit, I usually play the Schallopp defense for simplicity as given by Ntirlis in his excellent book
