From not making last year's Olympic Team to throwing 20.21m indoors for a World Indoor Silver Medal this year & 3 consecutive outdoor 20m throws in 2wks surely makes Chase Ealey the Shot Put gold medal favourite now @Eugene?! There's definitely a sub 52s there for Femke but Sydney just looks so good & not sure what form Dalilah is in atm! Mary Moraa has made things just that little bit more interesting in the 800m with this win over Keely H, will be a cracker of an event along with the 3 Americans @Eugene! Great performance from Eleanor Patterson in the HJ, an uncharacteristic off-day from Yaroslava Mahuchikh with a 5th place finish, same with Mihambo in the LJ - that was a great 5th round jump from Lorraine Ugen! Dos Santos having already beaten Rai Benjamin earlier this season is looking really good atm! Anderson Peters is having a very good season with another 90m+ throw in the Javelin & also good to see a new 89.94m PB for Neeraj Chopra! And of course, another Mondo WR :)

Dalilah"s ceiling been already reached....Bol & McLaughlin still have upside and are gonna be breaking each others records over the next couple years

@@graemecatterall5793 Will not write Dalilah off until I see the wheels fall off - she had covid twice on top of her injuries last year in the run-up to Tokyo and still ran the 2nd fastest time in history with that 51.58s. We'll see what shape she's in in just over 2wks!

Becuse the event wasnt a part of the Diamond League…

The Indian press ought to shut their mouth. They blindly had Neeraj Chopra winning the Diamond League Circuit 2022 with 4 golds in 4 events. It's not that easy. Javelin is one of the closest and most competitive events in track and field. Anderson Peter's throw was rather effortless.

An Indian here......and I agree

All home press gets partisan in situations like this, but would help temper expectations back in India if it was explained that the defending World Champ Anderson Peters has 3 of the Top 10 throws of the year so far all over 90m; 90.31m, 90.75m & 93.07m all further than Neeraj's 89.94 PB!
@someshvarrs86582 жыл бұрын
For everyone's kind information both neeraj and peters are rivals in this event from their junior days and they both have abilities to perform well when it matters the most but when it comes to head to head they both faced off 9 times till now and neeraj has kicked ass of peters 6 times and peters done it 3 times. so what matters the most is who is gonna be better when it matters the most and people have the rights to choose their own heros that's it
@someshvarrs86582 жыл бұрын
@@AllInTheGame01 of course last year Johannes vetter too had 11 throws ahead off neeraj and everyone knows what happened in tokyo right. its all about peaking in the right time for the right competition.By this statement i am not telling that peters can't beat chopra , they both are great throwers and they have a good history of performing well when it matters the most. lets hope for a great competition in Eugene in three weeks from now
@AllInTheGame012 жыл бұрын
@@someshvarrs8658 No one saying it's about 'choosing your heroes', it's about explaining to the Indian public that the defending world champion Peters has thrown 3 of the longest throws of the year so far including a new 93.07m PB that exceeds Neeraj's PB by 3.13m, so that IF Neeraj should lose to him in Eugene, it's not a total shock and disappointment to the public. It's called managing expectations!

Damnnn! Are you people really going to call it Stockholm Diamond League official highlights? While it doesn't contain Olympic Champion Neeraj Chopra's national record breaking throw of 89.94m, even at that moment it was the meet record too! Upload Neeraj sir's performance asap, you know you are gonna get the highest views ever! 😌

That is correct, the Olympic stadium was built for the 1912 olympics, long before the swastika became what it is. The olympic stadium is a cultural heritage site and cannot be altered.
