I occasionally operated these trams from 2003 until the closing in midsummer 2013. In the last years I was also worked as a dispatcher on the late evenings and I was the last dispatcher on duty the evening when the track closed for renovation. The wagon type was from the 40s, although some were built in the early 50s and rebuilt a few times. It was the last tracks that these wagons drove in active service. When you drove them on the Lidingöbanan, full speed ahead was needed to keep up with the timetable and train meetings. Thankfully, the signal system was so tuned that ATC interventions were rarely received but you still often had to hard-brake with a few meters in the margin on the platforms to keep clear for other trains.

Hi Odd, Thanks for watching and for your comments which contained very interesting information. I was only in the Stockholm area for a short time, so was glad to be able to ride and photograph these wonderful vehicles on their very interesting route. Regards, tassiebaz.

On timestamp ~9:50, twin motor cars configuration can be seen. This "turbo configuration" was rarely happening and probably due to temporary shortage of working vehicles. The only sceduled service with only motor cars is one of the rush ours train, and then with three motor cars. The normal configuration (eastbound) was B30-A30. During rush hours an extra motor car was added, so the configuration was A30-B30-A30. Two rush hour trains also added, one with A30-B30-A30 and one with tripple A30 configuration. At the same time, Time table turnaround time was decreased from 60 minutes to 50 minutes, which extended 20 minutes pace to 10 minutes pace with only tow extra trains. So, in rush hour you had 10 minutes less to complete a full turn.
