Stockholm - T Centralen. 10x Escalator ride (Kone, o&k and ThyssenKrupp).

At Stockholm T-Centralen station, Sweden...
One end of the platforms on the red and green lines, we ride the Kone escalators up to the ticket hall. We also ride the Kone escalators to the upper platforms (The red and green line platforms run above each other and you use either depending on train direction).
Then we take the longer old 1975 O&Ks down to the blue line platform (one is broken) - and ride the new ThyssenKrupp (TKE) replacement. The middle escalators in that set are both currently under replacement and they will all be TKE once done. A video of the broken escalator when working will follow, also showing the machinery moving…

Yeah. It’s quite an interesting feature. Originally all of this set of 4 would have had them, but as the lights broke they weren’t fixed. There is a strip of LED lights attached underneath the skirt brushes and the lights change colour matching the escalator’s speed, so it lights up the individual steps a constant colour rather than the steps passing through a fixed rainbow 🌈 strip. Would be good to see things like this done in other cities too.
