Klara Mälarstrand is a quay and park area next to Riddarfjärden on Norrmalm in central Stockholm . The area extends from Stadshusbron in the west under Centralbron and along Tegelbacken to Vasabron in the east. At Klara Mälarstrand's west side, which is also called Stadshuskajen , Mälarbåtarna departs.
The Stockholm City Hall (Swedish: Stockholms stadshus or Stadshuset locally) is the building of the Municipal Council for the City of Stockholm in Sweden. It stands on the eastern tip of Kungsholmen island, next to Riddarfjärden's northern shore and facing the islands of Riddarholmen and Södermalm. It houses offices and conference rooms as well as ceremonial halls, and the luxury restaurant Stadshuskällaren. It is the venue of the Nobel Prize banquet and is one of Stockholm's major tourist attractions.
North Mälarstrand is a parade street on Kungsholmen in Stockholm that runs along the northern shore of Riddarfjärden in Lake Mälaren . The street was built mainly on filled land along Riddarfjärden. Before that, there were a number of bridges and industries here, some of the larger ones were Eldkvarn on the site of the current Stockholm City Hall and S: t Eriks Bryggeri at Kungsholms torg .
