Sunny walk along the water. Old factory buildings and brand new apartment buildings with diverse architecture. This is Stockholm city’s latest addition, an area that will have 12000 new apartments and 35000 new work places when finished. Officially a part of Östermalm and Gärdet. I had planned to go here yesterday, a longish bike ride for me from Haninge. Nice weather for it, but ten kilometers in my bike broke down. So I had to turn around. I fixed the bike and, might go here in a day or two. Nice video.

Yes, i’ve been there once before, but it seems like a lot has happened over the past two years, and the sunshine helped. Much more positive towards the area now

If I lived in Stockholm, I would also walk it up and down. I perfectly understand your desire to absorb the charm of living in such a wonderful place as much as possible. Otherwise, why live if you do not see the beauty around us!? And it is everywhere, on every street, in every yard. How lucky you are to live where you live!

I like a bit of "Industrial Architecture".... In the UK we have stopped demolishing the old "Mills" and started turning them into Apartments..... Makes much better sense... Wonderful walk SW.... :-))) xxx

In most cases I don't like the entirely new areas or even cities, they look too perfect, sterile.But this is different, a nice merge between modern architecture and old industrail buildings.Nothing similar in my country.Either we demolish old factories or we let them fade away.Pity.
