Stocking the pond with shiners, crawfish and bream line every other week should help it immensely with almost instant results. I think you should also get a feeder or 2 set up out there. Keep up the good work and the videos

I’ve been feeding a pond in my neighborhood for 3 years now. The first year I put 2 lbs of shiners in the pond every other week. By the end of the year, they were noticeably bigger and fatter. Three years later now and every fish is bigger and healthier. Good luck.

A pond with a billion 12" LM bass ...they are eating everything. THIN IT OUT. Take every 8-12" bass you can catch over a long weekend. Addition by subtraction. Then add the baitfish.

I'm from Wisconsin so very rarely do we have a baitshop without a gas station. We even have gunshops at gas stations. My hometown has a gas station with a full sized basement that my old football coach turned into a combination baitshop and archery shop after the original gas station burned down.

Maggot feeders are really easy. Put them over trees or brush that have fallen in the water to give the little fish some cover. I have just used wet dogfood cans with can opener holes in them hanging over the water. Crayfish are always good. You can even take a small cove and sink some wire mesh/ chicken wire to give the little fish a place to flourish. You just need to think of a whole sustainable food chain from bugs to the apex AKA BIG FAT BASS! The last thing is to thin out an over abundance of those little bass to help out the bigger ones. Over population of those small bass will kill a pond/lake. I had a 4 acer small lake in CA at 2000ft elevation that we did all of these things and we ended up with some BIG bass that were 9lbs+. Hey love the vid man, I like this type of pond management content, it is my line of work. I would recommend establishing some bluegill and get an automated feeder going. The gills will all come up and blow up on the feed and make good content. Also add cover and take some small bass out. Keep saving those Sally’s!

A friend of mine had a bunch of small skinny bass in his farm pond , he kept spending money on bait fish and crawdads to try and pack some weight on the bass but it was very slow going until he went and bought some big bags of cheap cat food ,once a day he rowed a boat out and tossed a few cups of the cat food out and after a few short months all of the bait fish ,blue gill etc the population improved and the bass started getting fat bellies , it worked for him , but props for doing what you are doing

A maggot feeder is super easy to set up! Just drill a bunch of small holes in the bottom of a bucket, string it up over the water in place that you can reach to refill it, and put a couple of dead fish in the bucket. Stick a new fish in there once or twice a week.

You're doing good things there mate! Remember that each predator requires a base of a few hundred prey to stay healthy. I think it's about 2 or 300 to 1. A maggot feeder or something similar is a good idea. Once you build it you just need some flies and some fish carcasses or roadkill or anything you find. Keep it up mate!
