In my family, all of our stockings are made with the individual in mind. Between sensory issues and food disabilities, we don't do a lot of food or candy items. We do some, though. We do more toys, games, sporting items, hygiene items, electronics, jewelry, art supplies, school supplies, needs, gift cards, etc. Our go-to items are toothbrushes, Pez dispensers, and a collectible coin (it's been a family tradition for a while now).

I'm in my mid 30's & for as long as I remember Mum put a Cadbury Marshmallow Santa in everyone's stockings. Now I'm an adult, one of my brothers & I still live at home & we are now in charge of the stockings. (Only for four of us, because the others are married & can do their own.) I still put that Santa in each of our stockings, it's not Christmas without it.
