While you're sanding the threads, take some 800 grit paper to the outside of the entire OEM mag tube and polish it up. Makes the action much smoother and quieter in general.

Thanks. That is actually something that we have already done and were going to touch on it when we make our final 3 Gun M3000 video which should be coming in a few weeks. Make sure to subscribe as will be posting a few new M3000 modification videos over the next couple of days.

I believe that it was roughly 8 inches or so. The directions that come included with the tube tell you how many inches the spring should extend past the end of the tube for proper fitting

How much long does it the new spring; i have a stoeger m3000 and i picked a benelli extended with+5 shells but i have problem with the shells (don't take inside the barell) The length of spring is 80 cm. Thank you!!!

Great video... How long do you need to cut off the spring?

I put the +8 tube on mine and I can't get it to load a shell when full. If I drop it down to 8 everything works great. Any suggestions on how to get it to work?

FYI...if you are buying the newer model M3500 there is absolutely no modification required with the Briley extension magazine. There is no cutting or grinding of any tab ob or detent required. The Nordic people are not confident that their threads will work because their system is two piecem i appreicated their honesty and bought their product for my H&R pump. However, Briley is now very confident in recommending their tube for Benelli Supernove tube for the Stoeger M3500 and have even mared their website for the M3500.

Thanks for your input. We have found that the Nordic extensions are hit and miss for if they fit out of the box. Some units fit without modification and some require it. We are trying to establish, along with a few other companies if this is a Stoeger issue or a Nordic Components issue. We will try to get our hands on one of the Briley tubes to look at. Thanks for the heads up.
@CJRKENT769711 жыл бұрын
Nordic says it is an inconsistency with Stoeger. But they also say that because their system is two piece that is why the unthreaded portion of the manufacturers tube needs cutting. I have the briley and have shot 500 rounds and it is a solid piece and they never ever blamed Stoeger for anything. I did not have a issue with a tacstar as well, but they only had a +2 available. I searched for months before deciding on the Briley. Really great people and customer service is grwat as well. I own Choate, Briley and Nordic. Briley and Nordic are great products. However, Briley gave me confidence and comfort in trying their product. Both are priced about the same.

Clark Rachesky Both companies have said it's the other unfortunately. There is a serial number comparison that had been started on Brian Eno's forum that is trying to establish who is really the culprit. I have used Briley's chokes before and they are phenomenal and would expect nothing less of thier extensions, the only problem is that you aren't able to extend past +6, whereas with the Nordic you have up to +9. There are definite pros and cons to each.

I have the MOA Precision version of the mag tube extension and am having issues with the forend and receiver like what you are talking about. I thought I wouldn't need to do all of this extra work if I bought the MOA Precision tube.

If you take off the extension and go back to original nut will it work back to stock after cutting off the 1/4" part??
@TheTacticalBay11 жыл бұрын
Yes sir, even with the small piece cut off the shotgun can still go back to its stock configuration. If you liked the video make sure to subscribe as we will be doing more modifications to this shotgun in the future. Also like us on Facebook at facebook.com/thetacticalbay

Thank goodness. I'm interested in purchasing this shotgun and for hunting purposes there are limitations on magazine capacity. This mod allows for versatility between a combat/defensive gun and a legal hunter

Hello The Tacticalbay. I have a Stoeger M3K. I am from Turkey. We can' t buy Nordic accessories because U.S.A don't ship here. How many inch outside diameter of the magazine extension tube. I'll try to do it myself. I would appreciate if you help.

How old is your M3000? I just bought a M3500 and sent an email to Nordic Components to see if they would be making something for the Stoeger. This is what they said: "Unfortunately, we have encountered a list of problems with the M2000, M3000 and M3500 regarding extension tube fit and we will not be producing a dedicated extension for these shotguns until Stoeger has resolved the issues. The "Nova" nut was the recommended nut, but recently we've seen a number of customers unable to use this setup, as the factory threads have changed a number of times in the past couple of years." Also, after doing this modification, can you still use the original mag tube cap and limiter?
@TheTacticalBay11 жыл бұрын
The M3000 we used in this video is less than a year old. My understanding is that the M3500 isn't the same thread pattern as the M3000 but that may be untrue. My suggestion, as this is what I did, is to go to your local Nordic Components dealer and see if they have a nut for the Nova or M2000 and see if either one of those will at least start to thread. If it does, then the modifications mentioned above could work. Nordic wasn't able to give me a solid answer to any of my inquiries either so don't feel alone in that. As for the stock cap and limiter, yes everything is still able to be put to factory configuration. Let us know how your search goes. I wanted to touch base with you again. I got ahold of a M3500 and the thread pattern actually IS the same as the M3000 so the modification should work the same way. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@oskinoify11 жыл бұрын
Jared I just installed my +6 and I can only get a total of 10 in the tube. I also have the 26" but was wondering what is the length of the spring past the tube, By the way this is oskino from Brian Enos :)
@TheTacticalBay11 жыл бұрын
Hey Oskino, the +6 tube does only make the total capacity to 10+1. I measured the spring to be roughly 14 inches past the end of the tube. Let me know if that helps or if you have any more questions.
