Stoelting milkshake machine - freezing the hopper

We are going through a hurricane in houma Louisiana. One day off and my sewage pump stops working, during a hurricane. I was thinking a day off would be amazing, no I'm playing in sewage. Gotta love being a tech.

Several manufactures operates the hopper this way. Busy stores I operate with a higher hopper suction pressure do to constant compressor cycling.

That seems like a poor design. Stoelting should be able to separate the barrel and hopper cooling circuits, for separate temp control. That would suck for the customer. During the week the hooper is to warm, and on the busy weekends the hooper freezes. Crazy... Stoelting makes the customer run it that way.

Yeah, well, there was nothing wrong with the way they did it on the other machines, cylinders having priority over the hoppers and everything being controlled with solenoids. Seems to me they've designed a machine that is going to be a constant balancing act and a big ol' pain in the a$$. Nice work as always sir!
