The only thing that people do not respect me , is that I do no sccept that I am not born. Therefore I have to leave my home my past and my birth ceriticate so they can enter my home and serve themselves with my life and my properties. So if I can avoid them, i can keep my life and properties , peace and calmness ALONE. Gro Vera Neste Christiansen

The part about arrogance really hit home for me! It's amazing how often we confuse confidence with arrogance, without realizing the impact it has on others. Stoicism's focus on humility as a strength is a game-changer! Has anyone else found that practicing humility has transformed their relationships?

I love the analogy of arrogance being like an overpowering perfume-it’s so true! Humility is truly the key to respect, and this video made me reflect on areas in my life where I might need to be more grounded. What attitude do you think is the hardest to overcome?

Negativity is labeled a respect-killer, but isn't challenging the norm and speaking out against wrongs exactly what drives progress?

But it can be done without negativity being a massive part in its leadership and implantation. Don't justify being a broken tool. It drags the rest of the team down.

Challenging the norm and standing up against wrongs is important, but the way we communicate that challenge matters. If negativity turns into constant criticism or a lack of respect for others' viewpoints, it can make people LOSE RESPECT for you. Stoicism teaches us to approach conflicts with calmness and reason, which helps maintain respect while driving progress.

@grannysweet Exactly, leadership can be powerful without negativity being at the forefront. When negativity dominates, it often leads to people LOSE RESPECT for you, even if the message is important. Thanks for sharing your thoughts-feel free to keep the conversation going!

@@UltimateStoicism Creating a commonly used articulate form of non chaotic words that don't step on someones else's self is increasingly hard as we are so many generations away from that adult mind set being normal. My grandfather was a Victorian a gentle man and stoic . Stoic mindsets slop over to all phases of life. Makes for calm and room for happy.

@grannysweet Thank you for sharing such thoughtful insight! You're absolutely right-stoic mindsets truly influence all aspects of life and help create a calm, balanced approach. When we abandon those values, it’s easy for people to LOSE RESPECT for you. Keep embracing that wisdom!
