Massive Vale fan, home and away. Heartbreaking to admit but it is Stoke. Their seasons in thr top-flight boost it. Without them, it'd be much closer. Still, we carry on

EVERYBODY knows who the bigger club is. But a local derby has nothing to do with that. We wait for Vale like Millwall wait for Chelsea. It's the division difference that makes it so rare . A correction , we ( Stoke ) played Vale at Vale Park 5 odd years ago. Some lower grade cup that ended up messy. Some good footage on youtube. Think that The Vale were unfairly treated on a few of those because their catchment area is far smaller than Stoke's, and Stoke were in the top flight , when the Vale were in Div4 for many seasons. That said, and I'm die hard Stoke , I live in Burslem ( just up the road from Vale Park) , and there's nothing between the fans for passion.

Don't know Matt. I'm just winding up the Port Vale fans. Bugger's not biting though. I don't actually support any of them. Always liked Stoke City's strip back in the 1970s however. With the blue numbers on the back, white shorts. Looked good I thought. Nothing against Port Vale. Apart from Robbie Williams. I can't stand him.
