Not a huge difference to be honest - mainly processors and battery life. Latest Apple Watch should be launched next week, so I’d hold off and save yourself a bit of extra cash or upgrade! Whatever you do, don’t buy catalyst total protection case for applewatch. I bought one and the Digital Crown doesn’t spin when you’re using the case, which means you cannot unlock the watch in the water. Also, people cannot hear you properly when you are using the case. I thought the case was tough, it does look like it, but it becomes useless for water sports, as you need to remove the case to unlock the watch once the water lock is on . They sent me 2 replacements and both had same issue with Digital Crown. I recently request a reimbursement and I’m waiting the outcome

Just had my first session using the watch and app. I had about 10 waves and the watch shows 23 waves. It was a big day and it appears just getting pushed back when the closeout sets come are being counted as waves. I’ve got like 10 waves all less than 25 meters. I had it set to medium speed waves. Also, is it possible to have a second account on the same watch, like if you had a longboard account and short board account so you could see your fastest rides and longest rides of all time for short boarding and for long boarding separately? The apple watch is not water proof, it is water "resistant". There is a difference, one means that water cannot enter, doesnt damage the device and is suited to use in water, warranty claims included (waterproof) , while the other means only that it can withstand occasional (or even a single exposure) to water, is not meant to be used in water and any damage due to water exposure wont be covered in the warranty (water resistant). Theres plenty of people losing their apple watch due to surfing with them. Companies loves to play on the ambiguity of both terms and i understand why people mistakenly assume those terms are interchangeable, they are not. Just thought i would correct this mistake in the video, knowledge is power
@StokedForTravel3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kris - thanks for the info 😊 Apple Watch 6, 3 & SE are water resistant to 50m and are cleared for shallow water activities such as swimming. I know companies love the grey areas for warranty and such though! The best advice I can give for maintenance is wash it thoroughly in clean, cold water after every session 🤙
