Jeff really channeled Leroy on this one! Usually, Jeff is just overblown craziness, but I'm so glad he showed the flexibility to really 'play' the music the way Leroy did.

Jeff is significantly better technically than LeRoi... there I said it... maybe not 'soulfully' but technically

My favorite song from what is otherwise a pretty bad album. Glad to see it come back!
@alexisplaysz841510 жыл бұрын
Highly underrated album.... Dream Girl, Old Dirt Hill, Stand Up, Smooth Rider, Out of My Hands, Hello Again, Louisiana Bayou, You Might Die Trying......all awesome songs in my opinion....
@ohioatheist805210 жыл бұрын
Some of them are decent live (Old Dirt Hill w/Tim Reynolds), Louisiana bayou, You Might Die Trying, but the studio album is, IMO, the worst, and the only one I really don't like.
@renatocortesmusica10 жыл бұрын
true.. the studio´s versions of the songs are really bad, but some of the live versions are epic! just like this one here, the best version of this song.. so beautiful Ohio Atheist
@geoffjones644410 жыл бұрын
Not their best studio effort... but this is a beauty. Hello Again deserved a better fate... to that point it was on fire. The B-Sides included Sugar Will, which I am a fan of.

Stand Up is just a product of horrible production, i have heard some amazing versions of nearly all of those song...i mean if they can make Everybody Wake Up tolerable (like they did in 2012) then that ain't too bad...mind you they have Tim Reynolds now. Lesson learned, always have Tim...

I believe I feel what Dave is doing in regards to LeRoy and all that that implies. I can totally appreciate the what and why of his actions, it's not the first time I've seen Dave express his feelings towards a certain individual and the role they played. Would love to hear from you again, Dave Wenc..........................

@BruklynKid10 жыл бұрын
Right!!!!? Dave needed 2 people to accomplish only half of what LeRoi sounded like. No person (s) will ever replace LeRoi Moore! (PERIOD)
@amandapeters394410 жыл бұрын
LeRoi was amazing but to think that Rashawn and Jeff collectively aren't better is silly. Now you have the ability to put some harmony in the mix - the end of this is a great example of this. Jeff is playing the riff while Rashawn solos over - LeRoi couldn't do that by himself and achieve the same harmonic depth to the sound. I know I'm going to be in the minority here, but I prefer this sound.
@fredys88810 жыл бұрын
Oh i love Rashawn and Jeff too, im not saying that and i love this version too but LeRoi! had something in this song that got inside my. And im so fucking happy they are playing this song again, cant wait to see this, is really one of my favorites! Hello again...
