I was at Bliss about 15 years ago. For about six months, there was some idiot pulling this every other week. It was always the same story, some poor soul bought a surplus jacket, and gets yelled at and accused of stolen valor by some 19yr old hothead. It was fucking embarrassing.

I wasn´t in the military, my confirmed kills are 0, my MOS is family father, I'm in Toddler Team 2. The only thing my CatCard gives me is a lot of fluff. (No disrespect). I have deep respect for everyone that served.

Navy has Rates not MOS. I am a retired CM (Construction Mechanic) Seabee.

If you are Army, Air Force, or Marine, then you know what M.O.S. is. But Navy and Coast Guard has Rates. So, if you run into someone from the Navy who only served a short time in and ask, "What's your MOS?" They will not know what the hell you are talking about. But ask them what their Rate is, and then you will get a clear response back. So I tell you mine, I was a BM (Boatswain Mate). I made 3rd Class Petty Officer. So that means my Rate title would be BM3, and that is the rank of E-4!!

Exactly. The woman on 1:40 I believe she is a veteran. If you knew a little about the Navy you would know the Navy does not have MOS. Also, she said she is an Operations Specialist for radars and which is an actual rate. Just because someone doesn’t know the hull number of a ship doesn’t mean they didn’t serve. She might have a disability! Be careful before throwing someone online and judging them without knowing owing all the facts.
