@@tgbluewolf I agree about the romanticism, but I'm glad the true history and respect for Native American people was learned in the early 1970s with films such as Soldier Blue and Eagle's Wing. Before then, many Hollywood films were downright insulting and patronising. As a British European, I am very interested in the true history of North America and aware that many people today are living on stolen land.

@TSGP-p6e
@TSGP-p6e 5 ай бұрын
@@CarolFremel-my4hs i respectfully disagree. Native men did not take women just because they liked the way they looked. It was out of necessity after soldiers raped and killed the women and children while the men were hunting. They weren’t just raped. Their uterus were cut out from the inside and the soldiers wore them on their heads like trophy hats. It was out of necessity and survival the women were taken to raise families. Some of them were lucky enough to find love and never wanted to return to “civilized” life. So yes they were taken for survival of the people but most native men aren’t as superficial going only on looks. They admired intelligence, goodness of a woman inside and out, generosity and compassion. Sure they notice attractive women they aren’t dead. That’s not how they pick a wife.

I am extremely proud of my Cherokee heritage. I wish I still had my sweet little paternal Grandmother. She was full Cherokee from Dahlonega, Ga. I have so many questions I'd love to ask her. She lived on the side of a mountain in the beautiful Blue Ridge. She was a tiny woman who always wore long dresses with an apron and she wore her long white hair up in a bun. I still remember her fragrance...a sweet perfume and the snuff she kept in her pocket. Her face was full of deep wrinkles and her eyes always twinkled with that precious smile. One of the things that stands out in my memory as a child was her talking about the 'Trail of Tears', which broke my heart. Of course I'd also love to still have my maternal Grandmother who was Scot/Irish. I hope to see them and all of my family again in Heaven.❤

My grandmother was Apache. Not full blooded. My grandfather was half. But she had long hair and wore braided in a low bun. She had many grandkids. I was her favorite with no apologies to none. She was awsome. She taught me much. Things that now I can not remember due to bs in life. But her i can remember every detail. Every smile. Every time she wanted to be rude and would not. I most likely took after her more than the rest. I was as she was. Always helps relationships..... She also had wolves in her life. Hers was as loyal as mine. She adored them. I almost worshiped them. Glad you had a grand that gave you important things in your life. I know you will always miss her as I do mine. Be blessed. Have wonderful evening

The ones rescued if that is what you want to see it or sat it....we're said to only return for shames sake. I say they returned for they had been native long enough that other ways were just too foreign to them. They loved where they came from and loved those people to whom they felt they belonged. White history is not same as Native American. Or what little I know.

Sometimes, the way this world is now, I just sit & cry & long for peace in the world & the Comanche & Cherokee blood in me pulls so hard at my heart & makes me wish I could go & live in the past with my people, in a simpler life & with nature. I know it was a hard life, but it just feels like I’d be happier; would be where I belong until God calls me home to be with Him.

I got tired of other so-called Christian religions who were not doing what the Bible said and to doing things.Things that said not to do. There are many other native Americans who have already found this happiness.And we have large congregations of these lovely brothers and sisters. I hope next time that you come in contact with the witnesses , you will give them a moment to tell you the good news.

@@janeloveday6113 Thank you for your message. I was raised in the Assembly of God faith & gave my heart to God/Christ at 7 years old, then was filled with the Holy Spirit as a young teen. God has brought me through so much, including breast cancer/mastectomy & His love & grace is as real today for me as a senior, as it was at 7. It’s just that I have severe scoliosis & I live with daily pain & I have ADHD/OCD & I feel things very strongly. I know & am prepared for the last days to be the way they are/difficult. But when I see it happening before me, the fighting, violence, climate catastrophes, war etc. it still breaks your heart & is a little overwhelming at times. Especially when I think of how it could get for my daughter/grandchildren. I’m ready for that peace that passes all understanding the Bible speaks of. And I am so thankful for the Salvation Christ bought for me on the cross & I have strength in Him that carries me through. I am so blessed. Many know Of Christ, but they don’t Know Christ. There’s a difference. So I pray for those that don’t & that they will know the truth before His return. May God bless you & take care. 🙏

Ooooooh I remember this move! I watched it many years ago. Maybe the 80’s. The actress used to come out on General Hospital and played the you her sister to Demi Moores Character. It was just after the Luke and Laura legacy. She was thought to be the missing Laura but of course was not. This movie is a beautiful movie. I feel so bad what the government did to these beautiful people. 🙏
