I typically don't like any covers. However, in this video you can actually hear the melodic genius of Louis Johnson. The bass line is a separate song unto itself. Brilliant. And executed well. A good bass drives the track just slightly ahead of the band. Well don.

I’ve always really like MarloweDK. He is so very talented and I’ve learned some serious licks from him over the years. He also cracks me up with that deadpan look into the camera. Especially at 3:15 when he goes from serious slapping and plucking and dunking and looks back into the camera calm and collected. 😂 I love this guy. He teaches me and makes me fall on the floor laughing at the same time. Be well MarloweDK 😂

@@SupremeNerd Nah bruh...we're all critics of cover vids dude and hating has nothing to do with his true imperfection in the last 3 seconds of this cover. Take away the background music through out the WHOLE cover from the beginning to the end. Just the title alone of the cover and his true unfiltered/organic performance, would've made a true statement. But hiding behind all of the, same volume level background music is, quite deceiving to the naked ear. But then exposing himself at the very last critical adlibing 3 seconds of his true performance. Now... give this dude a re-make of this cover with a very low background music volume or no music playing in the background at all, would expose his true talent you me and all the other critical viewers/listener is yearning for. This cover vid doesn't do anything for me. Practice, just makes better. Scope or Dr. Tichenors, choose the truth. Just saying...
