Stonar Lake CDAA 01/05/2011 May Night Session

First time at the Stonar lake. Did not know what to expect. Conditions were a bit crazy with the strong wind against us constantly it got a bit much. Still a good time, will have to return soon. I fished to the left of the swim no more than 30ft out in the bay area, half an hour after baiting the area my left rod went but i struck it too soon and lost it. But later on into the evening I had 2 common carp and they were both caught on tutti frutti Sonubaits boosted wraps. Enjoy the video ! hehe i was in the secrets last year sometime and the wind was so strong and it was freezing, well i was with a mate and the wind actually smashed his bivvy to pieces where it was just being held down in the end by stuff we found and chucked on top of it, was bloody rediculous wind. Its not often to fish the place when it isnt windy but sometimes it gets a little Mental i must admit.

This lakes not so hard, it just takes alot of time to work out but once you have worked it out fairly well, well as good as possible with a lake of this size but most of all bloody depth, you can do well. Ive had some nice fish now although i plan to better them this up and coming season.

+9freelandk nows the time then mate i dont know how long cdaa will have the water for ,last i heard it was for 5 year and that was 4 years ago.the secret is to fish in close down there ,unless ur in the popular swims the sheds beaches ect where u know the features are.no point in wacking it out there in all that black stinking shit cuz ya wont get nothing m8

Okay Daniel cheers for letting me know. I have a friend on CDAA but he only fishes Fordwich. Annoying to hear about Stonar I will have to check. When I was a member I had quite a few fish from here but nothing in the 20's and yes 90% of them were all close in. I never got on that shed swim it was taken all the time haha looked good though !

Had my personal best from the sheds 27lb 8oz+26lb 4oz both mirror carp. Also a 16lb mirror from the stumps 5mins into a competition they have in June or July.my brother has done really well on stonar.

Darren Baldock Awesome Darren really cracking result ! Was not sure how it was going over there since the yahoo baits forum has gone offline had no idea what was coming out. I'm focusing on the Canal this year but might consider CDAA in 2016 I miss stonar...
