I live on a slab, so sometimes get creepy-crawlies. One year - some time back - I found a centipede that looked a lot like this guy in my laundry room. The sucker was huge (maybe 4-5" long) and real hardy looking. To my knowledge, centipedes don't get that big in my area, so I'm not sure if it was someone's escaped pet. Didn't know what to do so sucked it up into an empty vacuum. Damn thing definitely survived and was running rapid circles around the vacuum canister. Freakiest thing I've yet to encounter.

Very cute pede! do you know if they can be kept communally? and if so, about how many? I have heard people say both ways.

If you have a big enough tank they can live communally - I can lift a rock/ gravestone and there'll be 3-4 pairs in close vacinity of each other - as long as food supply is healthy all will be happy - all the best with it!
