For sure. The fact that it was just him walking to the ring exuding that stone cold personality (pun intended) with no theatrics made it THE most badass entrance ever. Although I would have liked if he had the smashing glass prop like he did I think in 97/98.

Don't be silly Austin wasnt the only one putting in work.. Austin ruled the roost in the earlier parts of the Attitude Era 98/99 Rock rose to the top later but when he did, boy did he run with it 99/00 01 both were head2head and then WM17 happened.. The beginning of the end for Attitude Era.
@Aaronya3 жыл бұрын
@@oooo1110 Late 99/00 Stone Cold was injured. That was literally the only reason why they gave The Rock the wheel. Austin came back late 2000 and from then on it was about him again. Wrestlemania 17 was more about Austin’s heel turn and alliance with Mr McMahon. The attitude era was built off Austin and McMahon feud. When Austin faced the Rock in 99 at Wrestlemania he was “cooperate Rock”. Once again it was centered around Austin and McMahon. The Rock on the other hand had a rivalry with Triple H for majority of the year 2000. Mania 16, Backlash, Judgement Day, Summer Slam. They even threw Angle in the mix to keep it interesting. But Triple H carried just as much as The Rock did in 2000. These guys were all great, but Austin was THE guy. There’s a difference between a fan favorite and THE guy. Austin and Hogan was the REAL match of legend vs Icon but they couldn’t agree on the finish. If that match happened that crowd would’ve been split. Not one sided for Hogan like we seen with the Rock. People eventually grew tired of The Rock by late 2001. The crowd never bood or got tired of Austin. Even when he was a heel. He always reinvented himself. During The “WHAT” era of Austin The Rock wasn’t even around. Rock had 1 year where he co ran the WWF with Triple H. Austin headlined almost every PPV in 1998,1999 & 2001. Can’t compare the two. Rock was amazing yes, but Austin built the WWF. Just ask Vince
@oooo11103 жыл бұрын
@@Aaronya In 99 Rock leveled Austin popularity before his absence.. So don't sell Rock short give the man his due if you lived through it you will know how popular the Rock was he was on 🔥 And in 01 it wasn't just bout Austin it was about both trust me i know i lived it..
