I bought my AxeFx IIXL and a Blacktop Fender Strat with EMG SL20's 7 years ago because of this video. The strat is still my primary guitar and the AxeFx is still what I gig live with. The two best gear purchases I have ever made.

@SixStringHarmonies12 жыл бұрын
I love the progression under that solo. It's an amazing piece. Well done! That Strat is a good deal. These days, I think MIM's the way to go. Find a MIM Fender with a great neck, and slowly upgrade piece by piece. Go from the tuners to the cavity shielding, to the jack, and everything in between. Finally, have a pro set it up, and you've got a keeper to pass on to your kin. The ability to make periodic investments in upgrades really allows budget flexibility, and time to see what's available.

Hey great video Mark. Nice guitar as well. Question for you, I noticed at the end you talked about putting a Kahler Tremolo on your guitar, have you ever considered putting one on your Gibson LP Stand. Plus? Was wondering if it was possible without tearing up the guitar. Thx.

I actually said Schaller, it's a German Floyd Rose. I would never do that to my Les Paul. I do have an Indie Les Paul with a Gotoh Floyd on it. I'd love to get a Gibson Access LP, but can't afford that right now :)

Mark you hands down get the best out of the Axe FX II here on youtube, most of the videos from others with the Axe FX II are your typical scooped modern metal sound which is not really my cup of tea and leaves me wondering if I really want to buy one of these things, and then whammo! here's Mark ripping out Queesryche, Leppard and Journey riffs and I'm reaching for my credit card!
