We enjoyed our visit to Stone Mountain. Like you, we only had time for the cable car, next time we'd like to try the hiking trail to the top. There's also a cool train ride that takes you all around the base of the rock which was fun!

Nicely done Robert. When I was there in August the snow slopes on the Memorial garden was not set up yet of course, would love to see it in the winter.

+John C I would love to be able to stay for a couple of days tool. This winter has been very mild so far, so good weather to enjoy the park. Hopefully I can start fulltiming soon.

Atlanta - our children live there. Stone Mountain is a sight to see. Driving through downtown Atlanta you passed by Georgia Tech, my husband's and son's alma mater. GO JACKETS! You should have stopped at the Varsity to eat - chili dog, onion rings and a frosted orange. YUM. Enjoyed the video very much.

Hey thanks, maybe I'll pass by Georgia Teach next time. Going there next summer.

As always good quality video and commentary. The part about the holiday music playing all night, would get bit much by 2 or 3 am if it was overly loud. Tanks for adding the bit about the pub, nice to know you can get a drink.
@TravelingRobert9 жыл бұрын
Thanks Richard. The music was playing all night through low quality horn style speakers and we had to keep the windows open because it was warm. You can kind of hear it when I'm talking when we arrive. It was ok. That's what earplugs are for.

Miami's I-95 is a deadtrap, i don't blame you avoiding it. Last time I drove in it, there were at least 2 accidents almost 20 miles from each other a few minutes of difference, and it was early in the morning.

great footage Robert !! question tho ??? how do navigate through traffic without tow mirrors ? do you have a traffic camera behind your rv ?
@TravelingRobert9 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The Micro Minnie is a very narrow trailer, only 7ft wide, so i can see well enough to navigate in most situations with my stock mirrors. I do want to get a rear view camera in the future.

Robert, we are planning a road trip from California to Florida on our RV. Are there a lot of truck stops in FL that we can stay at when traveling across florida?
@TravelingRobert8 жыл бұрын
+Jorge Palencia Oh yes. There are plenty of truck stops mostly along the interstate. I use an app called AllStays to plan ahead but you can see tall signs from the interstate. FlyingJ, Pilot, Love's.

I hope they don't remove the carving from Stone Mtn. It is part of history and I hate to see history erased. Destroying monuments is like burning books. History is there for us to learn from it and not repeat the bad things. There is always something good to come out of preserving history.
@TravelingRobert7 жыл бұрын
The monument for now is protected by Georgia law, and I don't the real people really care much or get offended, but as the trend goes, who knows what might happen in the future.
