Maggie Bell - fantastic singer, great band, nothing these days compares to this - because they're playing live, no autotune, no silly dancers, no "change of costumes" ... just pure ability. God, how I miss these times!!

Been there as a 19 year old fan. With Focus, Buchanan etc. A year before, last time with Les Harvey on guitar

Stone The Crows, one of my all time favourites. They made 4 superb albums. 1 Stone The Crows. 2 Ode To John Law .3 Teenage Licks. 4 Ontinuos Performance. Sadly only got to see them live once shortly after Les Harvey passed away.

Yes it was with Jimmy McCulloch at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester. October 73 I think.

The first time I went to Manchester Free Trade Hall I saw the Jimmy McCulloch band supporting Mountain. If memory serves me right it would be around 1971/72.

I was round the back of the Top Rank Swansea fixing to sneak in for the gig when news came down that Les Harvey had died at the sound check. I was effing heartbroken. Jimmy was the perfect replacement but by this time Jim had buggered off to join Robin Trower. Still, what, what a show, what a voice.

Why stc had not more success ? What a group ! What a singer ! ( the equal of janis in my opinion). Jimmy was so bluesy (leslie was so too) ! Goosebumps !!!!!

Ricardo, el destino no les dio chance, los dos primera guitarras que tuvo el grupo fallecieron muy jóvenes, por otro lado para este video solo tenían escasos cuatro años en el mercado, así que iban volando bien rápido, pero mala suerte ... Saludos

Michael Morse I was also there, in Edinburgh, but only managed to see them once. Listened to my vinyl records till nearly wore them through. Forgot how much I loved this band! Silly me !

Wee Jimmy always brilliant! Such a talent, Juniors' farm best McCartney number I think and the wonderful Something in the Air, sigh. Poor guy didn't even make the 27 club ffs. The allure of smack so hard to resist when it's all around you, such a bummer, I still get sad even now thinking about them all. Oh well, fuck everything, (sometimes.) Lots of us had narrow escapes but Lady luck favoured us.

Agreed mate. ✌. one of my first albums way back in 1970 (when I was a mere 15 ) was Stone the Crows and loved them all my life. 65 now and still here despite the lies and crap they throw at us. Peace from Ayrshire Scotland🎸

As I wrote elsewhere, Jimmy is very high up on the list, along side Jimi, Jimmy and Eric, and he’s better than Keith in my opinion. And only 20 years old at the time of this performance !

It was the drink that killed him. Asleep he vomited & choked it seems. He done drugs. Sadly Wings & McCartney opened doors he normally would not see. Paul gave him advice but he carried on. If he hadn't joined Wings he wouldn't have died. Fate, he was my school classmate from 66-68 in Cumbernauld. He was a quiet wee soul but looked like one of the Small Faces. I was envious. Sad loss, you make choices in life that dictates your fate.

I saw them twice, once supporting Led Zeppelin and they were the best. Then one gig before Les Harvey died. People were up on the stage dancing.
