This piece sounds rather ominous and powerful. The crows in the background, the drums, and the deep-toned choir all add atmosphere to what this level was in our minds as we trekked through it. Now, I've never played Majora's Mask, but I can indeed speak for what this level has to say music-wise. Nicely done capturing the overall feel of Stone Tower Temple in this re-imagined theme....

+Damian Pearson There's a fan theory about Majora's Mask online that gives a ton of feasible and interesting backstory on the Stone Tower Temple (of which there is very little of in-game. Based on your comment, I assume you might too. Making a long story short (since you can read the full theory online, if you so choose to look), the original Kingdom of Ikana committed blasphemy by forsaking the three Goddesses of Hyrule, and praying to their own deities, the four giants. Incidentally, there was a fair bit of misogyny involved in denouncing the goddesses, and the Stone Tower Temple has a fair bit of phallic imagery laced throughout the complex. (Perhaps most damning are the imp-like blocks that Link must use to traverse the tower to reach the temple itself. The undersides of these blocks have the imps' tongues reaching down to their nether region, where a particularly placed Triforce is placed. This is one of the few occurrences of a Triforce in the game). The story goes that the goddesses, to punish the Kingdom of Ikana, created Majora's Mask and gave it to the Kingdom. As individuals fought and killed their friends and family for the power of the mask, the Kingdom crumbled. After the kingdom crumbled, in the remains of the new land was born the land of Termina. The Four Giants, saddened at the loss of their land that they had built similar to how the goddesses built Hyrule, locked the mask away on the moon, possessing it. They had given their divinity and immortality to protect the land from the mortals they created. Honoring the Giants' sacrifice, the goddesses then populated the new land of Termina with mirrors of their subjects from Hyrule (which is why there are Gorons, Zoras, Hylians, and Gerudos in Termina, in addition to some Terminians). Oh, I forgot the point of the story. The original Kingdom of Ikana created the Stone Tower as an affront to the goddesses. They attempted to ascend to the heavens to kill the goddesses with a weapon of their own creation, the Giants' Mask. However, the realm that they found (Twinmold's boss room after you flip the Temple) was really the realm of Majora's Mask. (The Stone Tower Temple, as well as this boss room, contain a fair amount of imagery of Majora's Mask). Anyhow, there seems to be a fair amount of unwritten lore in this game. It's fun to theorize.

If skullkid entered SSB (which I really hope) I'd say that he would enter as skullkid without the mask, and his final smash would be PUTTING ON the mask, granting incredibly dark powers, as the big moon appears in the background making the stage do to nighttime, and with the mask on skullkid can enter crazy forms like Majoras incarnation.

I do agree Hyrule Field was a bit empty, but for the time it was made in it was pretty amazing. Majora's Mask was basically Ocarina of Time 2.0, technically speaking, and story-wise it was almost a sequel; it's not unreasonable to assume that the games kept getting better in some areas than Ocarina of Time, but at the time, and still now in many ways, it was amazing.

An idea commonly posed is the idea of Young Link being a transforming fighter, like Pokemon Trainer in Brawl. He could use all his masks, as well as his regular form, giving him 4 different ways to fight, and then Fierce Deity Link could be the final smash. It would be pretty interesting I think. As for Zelda villains, there's a pretty high chance Ghirahim will be playable in the next SSB.

I think there should be a Stone Tower Temple stage similiar to Ice Mountain in Melee where it scrolls up. However when you reach the top the screen flips and you go into a freefall, making all the platorms you jumped onto and obstacles you dodged to get to the top potentially places to get stuck, go off camera and die.

I believe Sakurai said that he was going to have this game developed both for the Wii U and for the 3DS. I don't own a Wii U nor do I have plans to get one for a long while, so that'll be nice to have Smash on the go. :)

I've got an idea for his final smash if he's included in the next game. When Skull Kid gets his first final smash, the moon should stand still over the map, giving Skull Kid some damage boost for a little while. When the boost is over, the moon will still stay there. If Skull Kid gets an other final smash, the moon will strike down on the map, finishing the match and guarantee Skull Kid a victory.If someone else gets the final smash before him, then the moon will dissapear.
