Never lived here but had friends and acquaintances that did. So fascinated by that estate. One of the most notorious council estates in UK history. I’ve lived in ‘rough’ areas such as Surrey Lane SW11, but they’re nothing compared to the Stonebridge.

My whole family grew up in Alperton, Wembley. 5 minute walk from Ealing Road. My sister was offered a flat on Stonebridge estate, when she gave birth to my nephew, in 1985. I went to view the flat with her and our mum. It was a complete dump, and had dried blood all over the kitchen walls. We couldn't get out quick enough. Thank god I worked hard since the age of 15, and in 2003 i managed to scrape enough money together to get me and my mum, the hell out of Wembley. I feel so sorry for anyone who is a decent citizen, and is trapped there.

It was a nightmare estate to live on (I promise you), so happy that knocked it down and we got transferred to another London borough (1000000 times better!!!!!!!)

Went to house party there in the spring of 1993. There was some 'screwface' young men there, eyeing each other up. Nothing in physical altercation happened but it was quite tense.

This was just before knocking it all down. What wonderful memories we made from growing up there. It really wasn’t this doom and gloom being portrayed.

this must be 2001 or thereabouits everyone was being rehomed or had to move out as a private company bought the estate and was going to knock all the houses down, which has been done and new smaller properties built.

No this video is from much earlier, look at the cars, more like the late 80s or very early 90s. Plus this is from Thames TV, which stopped broadcasting in 1992

I enjoyed living in Stonebridge Estate, I was the one up on the 14 floor that lobbed the bricks out of the window and onto the police vans, Happy Days ;) I see the REDEVELOPMENT has failed as NEW STONEBRIDGE is claimed to be the GUN CAPTIAL of the UK!

So you knew of the Bradish family? Me, I am first geraration, stonebridge was a mad house, but I fitted in without being fixed in, it has all change with these new redelopments, new crew on the block, but they will never reclaim the bonds and spirt of the times we had, old school :)

The boys swapped the champagne for porriage! Sean was released from his life sentence for a day a few years back, he went to same bank in cricklewood and robbed it at gun point, the cashier screamed o god not you again, don't think the parole board will let him out again! True in what you say about the loyalty, it is dog eat dog now!
