When I 1st saw your videos, it was with Mike and his wife doing classes, and they were GREAT! And every now and then, I watched your videos doing your contacts epoxy videos, and I really enjoyed those videos as well. Even though I miss Mike on your videos, you do a great fantastic job as well! This video was so fantastic to the point I have to save in my rewatch videos, so when I get around to buying your products and doing something, I'll know what to do. Now, from 1 to 10, I'll give you a thumbs up and a 12! 😅😅😅👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I was happy to see a new video pop up, I always enjoy your videos. And this is an awesome video. With an outstanding teacher. I have been watching from the very beginning when Mike started the channel, doing little practice boards and experimenting all the time. You are doing a great job following in his footsteps and expanding this channel to its full potential. Thank you. This video is perfect. I’ve been working on a custom house on the big island, and I’ve known from the beginning I was going to use your products in my kitchen. We decided a long time ago to use the color kit you guys used on the boat I believe it was in Florida called tropical storm. This color combination is very similar. My wife and I both love these colors and hope you are putting together a color kit for this video. Thank you for the great video keep up the good work.

Great back to basic video. I especially enjoyed the tutorial on how to make a counter top! I would love to see more videos on that. I give this a 8 out of 10. 10. One thing I have noticed. In all the videos I have watched from many makers no one shows how they level off the countertop especially when making in a shop. Built in place or covering existing require shims. A level top, as we know, is very important. I made leveling blocks app 2 in tall from scrap wood. 4x4 works good. Drill and insert a T-nut, I used 1/4-20 then screw all the way down a short 1/4-20 bolt about an inch long. Set these under your top and find the high spot, this will be your benchmark, then unscrew the bolts as needed to bring the top to level.

Can we do open cup pour with epoxy resin ?
@mitchquistАй бұрын
Heck yes!
@StoneCoatCountertops21 күн бұрын
Certainly! We call it an exotic pour. If this is what you're talking about: Start by blending the resin, splitting it into individual mixing cups, and incorporating different colors. Combine the colored epoxy back into the main container, then proceed to pour it over your project to achieve instant epoxy countertops!

I did a small 2*3 feet sample. Lost a lot of epoxy through the tape damn. What tape do you recommend using and any hints to get best results
@StoneCoatCountertops21 күн бұрын
Great questions, and sorry u lost some of the good stuff out of the tape dam! Wipe down the bottom and front of the edges with a microfiber rag lightly wet with 91% isopropyl before applying the tape. Make sure the edges are all the way dry before applying the tape. Take your time here and iron it on really well. I used an orange 3-day removal tape from Scotch on my last onsite job and it did really well. I use blue mid taped mid edge and let it go above and work as the dam. I used the orange to go mid edge and rap the bottom, I had no leaks on 80 sqft!!! I have some good tape dam tips in our newest tutorial video that dropped last Sat! Thanks for watching -Mitch
