Jane is still playing Tracy as she always has, there's definitely an edge there, but I do like how she's letting her age and experience contribute to the different colors she brings to the part now. As a fan since 1980, I am so grateful to have the Quartermaines represented to this day, including Jason, Ned, Tracy and all the rest. What a delight they have always been and still are!

Tracy has definitely softened & become more feeling & matriarchal about her. And she puts her foot down (out of love of certain characters) when needed... like when she strongly negotiated for Gregory Harrison attending the wedding no matter what (and not canceling the wedding).😉👍

I’m LOVING this lighter side of Tracy, she’s definitely still cut throat when she needs to be, but her softer side with family members and her attraction to Gregory and her friendship with him has really made me love her so much more. I literally HATE they have him dying, I’m praying the new writers can somehow have him misdiagnosed and save him.

I’m hoping for the same thing. However, ALS is a terminal disease, and it would be so unrealistic to have Gregory be misdiagnosed. Although, I am going to HATE to see the AMAZING GREGORY HARRISON, leave the show.

BTW, Steve, absolutely loved the Jason/Joss scene this week. My wife asked me if she sees Jason as a father figure, and I told her I think it's more like an uncle, in that he was like a brother to Carly for most of Joss's childhood. But I absolutely loved the dynamic between Jason and Joss, portrayed with such seeming ease and comfort by two of the very best performers in daytime history. Absolutely stunning and incredibly natural. Bravo!

The scene reminded me of the scene when Carly was locked up and Joss was going through teen angst that Sonny couldn't understand. Jason had a talk and again the promise to be there for Josslyn when she needs him.

I love how Jason is always there for Carly & her kids as well.. but Carly & Jason don't have a brother/sister like relationship. Brothers & sisters don't engage in certain activities that Jason & Carly have engaged in.. at least they shouldn't 🤔. I always cringe every time I see a comment saying that Carly & Jason were like siblings 🤮🤢. I know I don't do those things with my brothers 🤦.. & I hope y'all don't either. I think friends or even best friends is a better & more appropriate description of their relationship. Oh my goodness 🤣🤮🤨

I love episodes where the characters are having fun, instead of being so serious all the time. I enjoyed watching everyone dance at Brook Lynn's party, and all the fun that was had at Chase's party. Tracy dancing had me dying of laughter. I also love the Jason/Danny and Jason/Joss scenes they were really great and shows how much Jason cares for both. And I love anytime we get to see Spinelli, especially having fun and dancing.

I find Sam totally hypocritical in her anger at Jason. She was quite the wild con-woman and then PI. So her life wasn't dangerous? Plus she lived and loved Jason has she forgotten those days? If Danny's wild he gets it from BOTH parents.

I love that things are slowing down again. Much more satisfying. It's pure joy watching all of your characters enjoy each other in these larger scene settings. Jane Elliot is brilliant!

I love the genuine fun scenes like they did for the bachelorette parties. I loved how Jane shook her butt right in the camera, it was so fun. Jane is definitely playing Tracey more soft but still with a little edge, she’s is THE BEST…love her❤. Love Jane and Tracey, so, glad Jane came back.

Steve, love how you are fiercely defending how the current writers are bringing back the history and way of storytelling. For veteran GH watchers, we get it. I have read many FB comments about the bad storylines from 6-8 months ago and these people are forgetting that the current writers were writing incredible stuff years and years ago and have only been back for a few months. These "new" writers are not responsible for what temp writers wrote during the writer's strike. So happy you are back and I can't wait to see Jason and Spinelli reunite!

I thought these storylines now are from the new writers. It had been written that the writer Elizabeth was actually writing Jason's return stiryline.Her name appeared in the credits on March 4th along with the old writers.It also had been written that Jason return would be exciting.Of course maybe what I read was not true.But I do know that Jason allowing his sons to believe he was dead,to protect Carly and her children is more of the same.

I loved the scenes with Danny and Jason on Monday. Loved how Danny sneaked into Jason’s room and put on Jason’s jacket. Love Danny and Jason’s relationship. I loved how Jason did the right thing (as he always does) and took Danny back to Sam’s. Yes, Danny is so much like Jason and I’m loving it and especially considering it’s Danny because I’m a Jason and Sam fan. I miss the pool table at the Penthouse too. It’s just not the same, miss how the penthouse use to be. There isn’t a mirror there at the closet anymore. Jason should still be living there. I can’t wait to see Spinelli and Jason reunion scenes.

Thanks so much for this episode. To answer your question YES!!! It is such a beautiful break from the “drama” to have our favorite characters experience some joy for a change. We are invested in our favorite characters and to have them in miserable, drama filled days constantly with no experiences of joy for years on end is a rough road. To have these moments where joy and celebration are a part of it makes the experience so human. It helps to connect with the character and not make it just a “show”. Hope that makes sense. The Jane Elliot personality change is really refreshing. To see how Luke’s death has impacted her in a way that has made her “feel” more empathetic and appreciative of her family is so heartwarming. I’m loving these new nuances. Thank you for sharing your perspective and BTS moments. So fun!!

Steve's portrayal of Jason is always great. I love the way he is intense, but seems to also be able to control the emotions. That's an amazing skill set for an actor. It will be interesting also to see what the dynamic between Jason and Spinelli will be when they finally see each other again. And Monica for sure!! There was a storyline in the 90s where Jason was willing to take the fall for Monica when she murdered (or was suspected of murdering) someone. I think it was the person who got Emily hooked on drugs.

If Jason had made the same deal for Sam or Elizabeth it would have made sense because he would have been protecting a mother of his children. Protecting Carly or Sonny and allowing is sons to believe he was dead is perplexing. How does Jason as a father chose to keep Carly's family intact rather than reunite with his sons? Writers you got to do better,because trust me this sucks!

It really breaks my heart that when Jason went to play dad for five minutes at Lizabeths house Elizabeth told Jake afterwords your Dad loves you I saw it in the way he looked at you your dads not gonna make some big deceleration and say I’m your father and I love you he’s gonna keep coming around and show you then Jason leaves and almost a month later he hasn’t been back that makes me sad for poor Jake so Steve I thought I would remind you Jake turns 17 on may 4th hope you don’t miss it because they’re making you look like a shit father

We need more scenes with Jake and Jason! We've had quite a few scenes with Danny and Jason already, its Jake's turn! Have jake express his emotions and feelings to jason, lay everything on the table, and then have them hug it out in the end. Hudson would rock those emotional scenes if given the chance! Throw in some liz and jason scenes too, they have amazing chemistry when on screen together!

Don't like what they're doing with Sam. She doesn't want Jason around her son but Dante is surrounded with violence and corruption as well and she is blind to that. And it's difficult to watch her react to Jason in such anger and almost a hatred when she was so very much in love with him for so long. It hurts to watch it.

This overnight character rewrite of Sam with so much anger and hostility towards Jason is ridiculous and unbelievable. A few weeks before Jason returned Sam and Danny rode the motorcycle to the bridge.While at the bridge Sam told Danny how much she missed Jason and felt so close to him at the bridge.What the hell happened from then to actually having that man back in the flesh?As a mother you may refuse to let the father take his son on a trip because you are afraid. But who would forbid a son from seeing and spending time with his father who he thought was dead. The writers have got to do better, this change in Sam makes no sense.Another thing that makes no sense is Sam has not had a scene with Alexis or Molly.Surely her mother and sister would check on her and Danny after such a big and shocking surprise. Maybe in time the writers will get it together and gradually lay the groundwork for character changes.This out of the blue surprising and destructive character rewrite of Sam really needed some type of reason leading in.I'm a Sam fan and I want better writing and a decent storyline for her.Free her from Dante. Let her be a single working mom. Bring back the confident and independent Sam.

@@teresabarker5381 I love Elizabeth their chemistry in the beginning was amazing but I’m still a fan of Jason and Sam. I hope they find their way back to each other. I love Dante too but just not with Sam. I also wonder if they are going to give Jason a new love or one of the ladies from his past.

Loved that Spinelli was the DJ for Brooklyn’s bridal shower/bachelorette party such a fun episode. I think it’s hilarious that Spinelli is now a DJ. I loved that Spinelli was the only male at the bachelorette party. I saw you all doing the Cupid Shuffle…I wasn’t sure if it was the Cupid Shuffle or the Electric Slide but I noticed right away. Loved your dance moves, they were awesome. Love Jane to begin with but loved her in the bachelorette party scenes-love seeing Tracey having fun😉. It was such a fun episode. Loved the suit you wore. Make up in for commitment. I loved your shimmy and how they had you interact with Trinia-you and Tabyana were cute. I’m loving the group scenes again and I love the longer scenes like we had back in the day. I love the feel of how it was in the 1980’s and 1990’s, I’m loving it.

I said the same thing Steve that Jason would do the same thing if the FBI had something on Sam or Elizabeth or Sonny or Spinelli or Monica. Jason would be the fall guy for anyone he loves or is loyal to!!!! Jason is definitely loyal to a fault and he is definitely selfless. Cool, I’m glad Adam Huss (John/Jagger) said he would be a guest on an episode, that would be fun-can’t wait. I hope they don’t make Dex Jason’s son. “Fifty Shades Of Pale”…LMFAO🤣🤣😆. Maxie and Spinelli are definitely a rom com couple. Oh good, glad to hear the Maxie and Spinelli will be told.

What I LOVE about these group scenes is if you pull back it's a group of ~10 characters who know each other but if you zoom in there's Maxie & Spinelli over here, Trina & Jocelyn over there, Lois & Olivia here, & Jocelyn & Kristina there. I enjoy seeing the smaller groups within the big group. Also, I enjoy seeing fun scenes like this because it's different than everything else. Tbh, if I were flipping channels, an episode like this would get me to stop & watch & check out this show. (I first watched OLTL when it was the "prom musical" & I initially thought the whole show was a musical, like "Glee." 🤣) To me, Carly & Jason are each other's "essential person," similar to Maxie & Spinelli. However; Carly & Jason do not belong together romantically. Nevertheless, they are each other's soulmate. Your soulmate doesn't have to be your love interest, they can be your best friend. Spinelli & Maxie are like Ross & Rachel. It's never off the table.
